If not the end of the world, then what? by Psychic Clare

The prophecies of ancient indigenous peoples point to a brighter future

There was quite a bit of excitement over the Mayan calendar ending on 12/21/12, but as we all know, the world did not end.  My husband’s interpretation was that, “Life AS WE KNOW it will end!”  But, life seemingly continued on as usual – or did it?

As I recall from the Hopi version of the prophecy which I studied many years ago in my youth, there was a cave drawing which showed the course of human history which, upon reaching a certain crucial point coinciding with the Mayan event, diverged into 2 lines:  one path going down representing total annihilation, and one path going up representing rebirth, renewal or purification, with the planet’s vibration being raised to a new, higher level.  A harbinger of this transformation was to be the birth of a white buffalo calf, an extremely rare event. A white buffalo calf named Miracle was born in 1994; her color changed 4 times throughout her life, in accordance with Hopi prophecy.  In 1997 another white buffalo named Miracle Moon was born, who subsequently gave birth to several white calves.  Since that time, especially over the last few years, several more of these previously extremely rare animals have been born – a sign, perhaps, that we are indeed on the high road to a brighter future.

Why should we be impressed about the birth of a white buffalo calf which was prophesied as a good omen, ushering in a new age of peace and prosperity, in the Hopi legends?  We might well find it irrelevant in our modern technological age.  However, it is worth noting that the Hopi predicted many other things which came to pass exactly as described:  The taking over of North America by the white man, the slaughter of the buffalo, the invention of cars, highways, airplanes and the moon landing, to name a few.  But, the Mayan and Hopi prophecies about the end of the world and/or dawning of a new age are not unique.

The Hindus apparently also knew about all these technologies and events based on their literature written thousands of years ago.  They too predicted our emergence from the dark age of war, violence, ignorance and hate into a new age of peace, compassion, enlightenment and love.  While the exact timing of this shift is unclear, depending on whom you ask, it has already begun.

Back in the 1960s-70s there was a great awakening in the western world, a raising of consciousness which was expected to bring about world peace and eliminate oppression, poverty, disease and hunger.  This was to coincide with an astrological event known as the Age of Aquarius (the “water bearer”).  While none of these goals has yet to be achieved, there has been a tremendous increase of interest in spirituality and consciousness over the last 50 years or so, and many claim that we are now in that Age.  Interestingly, in the Mayan Codex there is a painting representing the Winter Solstice of 2012, which features a water bearer!  Coincidence?  Perhaps.

But what does all this mean for us today, in 2013? Stay tuned for tomorrow's post.
