Yes. Dreams can be prophesies, inspirations and magic, and can range from normal to very bizarre. They can be fun loving or can scare the breath right out of you. Some people never remember their dreams while others remember the tiniest details.
I’ve read that dream interpretations date back to 5000 BC (of course I personally have no recollection of this!). There are numerous books on dream interpretation, including ones written by psychologists such as Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
From my experience through the years I’ve found that dreams have significant messages. There are indications to patterns and frequent symbols that appear to give you clues about your growth patterns. Keep a dream diary to discover your personal truths and answers for when you’re awake.
One of my favorite stories is about the lizard and the snake. The lizard is lolling in the shadow of a big rock, shading himself, as the snake hisses and slithers by. Slowly, the lizard opens his dreaming eyes to see the snake. The snake asks the lizard to share his shade with him since the lizard always has the best spots.
The lizard replies, “You can share my shade, but do not interrupt me.”
“How I could bother you when all you’re doing is sleeping?” asks the snake.
The lizard smiles and explains that he is not sleeping, he’s dreaming.
The snake doesn’t know the difference, so the lizard explains, “Dreaming is going into the future; I go where the future lives. This is why I know you won’t eat me today—I dreamt you were full of mouse!”
This is a fascinating subject and it has taken years of study to unfold the magic world of dreaming. Embrace your dreams, get a good book or two, and give me a call if you want to speak with a dream interpreter. Dreaming is divine inspiration. We all dream of great possibilities and great expectations for our future. I’ll be seeing you in my dreams!
