Being introverted doesn't mean you're shy or socially awkward; it just means you really enjoy your alone time. If you want to break out of your usual routine and be more social, introversion doesn't have to stop you. You just need to find the right approach.

Join a Club, Team, or Organization

A great way to make sure you're going out and engaging with people is to join an activity or organization with regular meetings. If you're into sports, find a local city league. If you like to read, join a book club. The regular meetings will encourage you to get out more, and it'll be easy since you don't have to do any planning other than showing up. The people in your group will share your interests, so you'll find yourself looking forward to going out to meet them.

The great thing about volunteering is how many different opportunities you can find. Volunteering can be as solitary or as social as you want it to be. If you want only a little bit of contact with people, volunteer at the library or at an animal shelter. If you want to push your boundaries, try a soup kitchen or a nursing home where you'll be around people a lot. Regardless, you'll meet new people and have new experiences.

Invest in Like-Minded People

When you find people who share your interests, you're more likely to want to make and keep plans with them. Your social network doesn't have to be huge, but you'll break out of your own head if you engage with friends. Seek out others who have the same hobbies or interests, and get together regularly to explore those interests. Soon you'll find you have a great group of friends, and you'll want to spend more time out and about with these cool people.

See a Psychic

An online psychic can help you understand yourself. There's nothing like an outside perspective to help you see things in a new light. Rather than encouraging you to become an extrovert overnight, a psychic reading will help you find activities and places to go that will best complement your personality. Instead of overwhelming yourself with too many new experiences that drain your energy, work with your psychic to find balance between your need for alone time and your desire to be more social.

Connect on a Deeper Level

Introverts don't tend to like small talk, which can make large social gatherings less than ideal places for meeting people. So if you're in a large group of people, dispense with the small talk and endeavor to get to know the people you're conversing with. Ask them about their interests and find areas of common ground so the conversation is enjoyable for you and your new acquaintances.

Finding a way to be more social doesn't have to cause stress, and you don't need to morph into an extrovert. The right activities will give an introvert a rich social life, while still providing time for quiet reflection.
