Don't stress the holidays!

While your kids might be anticipating the holiday season, you may be dreading it if you don't exactly get along with your in-laws. Matters can be made even worse if you're the one hosting the Christmas feast. Take the following tips into account to reduce your stress levels.

1. Lower your expectations.
Health magazine reports that high expectations can cause you stress throughout the year - not just on Christmas. Lower them and cut yourself some slack to stay sane.

2. Don't do too much.
There's no reason to get burnt out during what's supposed to be one of the most joyous times of the year, according to Do your duty, host dinner, then take some time to enjoy yourself.  Curl up by the fire with a good book.  Take a long drive and enjoy all the holiday sights and sounds.  Or maybe you can finally put to use that gift card for the day at the spa you got LAST YEAR!
