I called Donovan today to tell him that something he told me panned out. About 3 months or so ago, he told me I was going to get a new job. At that time, I was working at a job that I started at in 2018. I wasn't intending on looking for anything new, since it wasn't a bad job and I didn't want to cause hard feelings with my boss and his wife if I left. At the beginning of November my boss had told me that he had no intentions of laying me off, even though it had been slow. Towards the end of November he told me he had to lay me off at the end of December. On 1/7/26, I was doing my first job searches, and a woman sent me to a law office that wasn't even on my radar yet. I walked in and got the job. Now Donovan tells me another one is going to come to me without me even looking, and it will be even better yet. Sounds like it will be less than a month away.
