Have you tried powerful healing energy of Reiki?
Many years ago, I found myself in a little thrift store in Northern New Hampshire. While I was there to just get some odds and ends for cheap, I ended up stumbling across what would be a life changing conversation. The lady behind the desk asked me if I had heard of Reiki, to which I replied, no. She then proceeded to share with me all the benefits of Reiki.
Working as a Psychic and herbalist, I knew how powerful energy healing could be, but Reiki was new to me. Curious, I decided to drive down the road and introduce myself to what would be my first teacher. Over the next several months, I embarked on an incredibly healing, amazing journey. After about a year, I became certified as a Reiki Master, and now I incorporate it into everything I do.
So What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energy healing that is activated using traditional symbols. There are many different types of Reiki used today, but I was taught in the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki. (Say that three times fast!) This type of reiki can be dated back centuries and was the “original” form of reiki healing. This form of healing was “reintroduced” when a Japanese man by the name of Mikao Usui went on his own personal spirit journey and was given the traditional reiki symbols. He spread his knowledge and eventually in the early 1900s the practice made it to Hawaii. From there, the rest is history, so to speak.
The Four Symbols in Reiki Healing
Reiki is performed either in person or long distance. There are four symbols used in reiki healing, which activate not only the healing and balance but also the ability to send the reiki long distance. Those symbols are:
Cho Ku Rei (the power and manifestation symbol)
Se He Ki (the emotional/mental symbol)
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen (the long distance and spiritual being symbol)
Dai Ko Myo (the Master symbol)
What Can Reiki Do for You?
Reiki’s main purpose is to restore universal balance to your body. In other words, reiki is meant to work with your energetic body to promote healing on all fronts. This energy is called our Ki or our Chi. It is believed that once balance is restored within someone’s being energetically, that healing can begin completely. This healing can be physical, spiritual, emotional or mental. The healing can help someone individually, a relationship or a situation. If the person’s spirit is receptive and there is not a universal reason “why” the healing shouldn’t work, then everyone can benefit.
Reiki is Protected
Reiki cannot be used for any negative purpose. Instead, it works to bring positive, healing energy into situations and people’s lives. I could compile a list of what it helps, but really the reality is that it would be far too long. I have seen reiki do amazing things in my own practice. If you feel like you could benefit, give it a try. It won’t harm you in anyway, in fact, the only thing that can happen is you benefit!
