The Holiday Season is one of my most favorite times of year.  I love the traditions and rituals we all repeat year after year that bring us together in love, celebration and joy.  Most everyone becomes more generous, caring and compassionate than usual.

For some of us, however, all of the focus on fun, love, holiday parties and gift giving can become overwhelming for our hearts, especially if we have lost someone close to us, or someone dear to us is far away.  Here is a soul meditation that I offer to my clients to help close the gap of a loved one not being physically with us.

Find a quiet place to sit, possibly even a place where you’ve spent time with the person you miss.  Close your eyes, take a deep breath, inhaling through your nose all the way down to your navel, hold for two counts, then exhale big.  Repeat, and when you exhale imagine any tension in your body or anywhere in your life leaving.  Do this one more time.  You will feel very centered and peaceful.

Become aware of your Heart Center, the area around your physical heart.  You might want to picture this area as a beautiful flame or a multi-faceted crystal behind three petals.  Allow the petals to unfold and your heart light to shine through.  Ask your Soul to join you.  Your Soul’s heart center flame or multi-faceted crystal is larger than yours.  See and sense your Soul embracing your heart center in theirs.  When completely aligned, you will sense a “click.”

If anything feels out of balance or it’s hard to let your Soul embrace your heart center, ask your Soul to balance the energies and remove anything between you and your Soul.  Notice you are breathing peacefully.  Notice how you good you feel.

Next invite the loved one you are missing to stand a few feet in front of you.  Notice his or her heart center.  Notice how you are feeling with them there.  Ask your Soul to help you send a beam of love from your heart center to your loved one’s heart center.  You will feel a similar “click” when you connect with their heart center.  Send just the right amount of love, not too much, not too little.  Your Soul will help you adjust the flow.  Let the love return to your heart center from your loved one.  Let their love in.
Let anything that feels out of balance be cleared through the love.  Tell your loved one anything you want to say to them.  Let them tell you what they want to tell you.  Be open to hearing them talking, or perhaps seeing scenes, people or symbols.  You may only feel emotions.  Even if it feels like this is only your imagination, trust that whatever you’re experiencing is real.

Your experience may be very emotional.  Know it is perfectly okay to cry and cry.  You may also find yourself angry, or really really happy.  Whatever happens is exactly what’s meant to happen.  Tell them how much you miss them, let them know what you’ve been doing, ask them what it’s like for them.
You will know when to end your session.  You can have as many sessions as you’d like.  I suggest spending 5 to 15 minutes to start, two or three times a week. 

This meditation is powerful.  You may want to have a tape recorder.  Or you may want to quietly bask in the love.  It’s your time together.  Create it in a way that honors the love and supports the communication you wish to share.

Halloween may have passed, but we always appreciate a good spirit story! Psychic Dyna shares her own personal Hawaiian Haunting tale.

I was studying Chinese medicine and herb logy on Oahu, living in an ohana, an apartment within a house.  It was a large house on Frank Street with a magnificent view of downtown Honolulu.  I loved it because the house had warmth; a sense to it I couldn’t quite identify but my spirit loved the place.  It was October and I was deep into herbal studies when bowls on my coffee table started to move in their own.  Being psychic I didn’t think too much of that.  My music, some new age jazzy stuff which was excellent to study by went quiet.  Suddenly, I felt compelled to look up and there he was… the tallest man, brown in coloring, handsome and untamed.  He wore the red and yellow feathers of the Ali’i, a royal Hawaiian.  There was a problem.  He walked right through my living room wall and stood there staring at me.  Then he just disappeared, poof he was gone.   I was so startled I knocked over the coffee table moving away and spilled my mango juice all over my herbal drawing.

Not knowing what to think of this I spoke with Fish, a surfer friend who also lived in the house.  He mentioned that the house had been built on an old Hawaiian spiritual spot, and that apparently a small temple had existed there at the entrance t o the valley a long time ago. 

Over the months that passed, I got to know the tall spirit who frequently walked through the walls, doors, windows and moved things around.  At that time I could not hear his name so I called him Ali’i Keanu.  He would move dishes and books on the coffee table when guests came to freak them out, and I would admonish him and ask him to stop scaring my guests.  He always ceased and behaved for the visits.  For a ghost he was extremely polite.  I think it was due to the royal upbringing.  One night I was thinking what happened to this soul who stayed in this place and fell asleep studying.  I dreamed the following: 

The tall royal warrior came to me in my dream and said, “I am Ali’i and I will show you what happened to me since you want to know.”  

Then he showed me what happened.  He had made a trek to the temple to pray and leave an offering when suddenly he was attacked from behind and stabbed with a large bone knife.  It slipped through his ribs, piercing his heart and he died instantly.  It was bloody and quick. Since then he comes to check on the area and the land.  When I woke I knew that nothing could harm me in this place, that I was welcome to stay and that he definitely would continue to startle guests with his ghostly sense of humor. I earned honors in my studies and just before leaving the islands, tried to see if he wanted to be helped to the other side and not be stuck being a ghost.  In my dream, Ali’I Keanu  laughed and told me that he was definitely not stuck. “I am Ali’I, and Hawaiian’s walk easily in both worlds so I was not stuck in between.”  He thanked me for caring to help, but it was necessary.  When I woke, it was time to leave and I bowed, thanked him for guarding me and keeping me safe while I living and studied here.  There he was, standing in the wall again.  He nodded his acknowledgement and I said farewell with an aloha, until we meet on the other side.

For twenty five years I have been doing crossover readings for the public. I began having angel visitations when I was about 7 years old. They would talk to me in the woods where I played. I loved the woods. I always felt save there. I always knew they were around protecting me.  Was it angels or spirits???   Over my life I have had to learn how to discern the difference.

I do in fact believe there are good spirits and evil ones as well. Heck we can see that manifested in the human family on the physical plane. The old timers would say that one has a “mean streak” , the devil incarnate. Watch out for that one, they have a bad spirit. Leave her or him alone. Stay away from that one. You are asking for trouble. With time and maturity as humans we begin to learn to discern for ourselves whether someone is of good spirit or confused, or of bad spirit.

All things that happen on our physical dimension also happen on the other dimensions. Life is highly multi-dimensional. As we awaken to ourselves first, then to the world we begin to recognize the other dimensions or at least have glimpses into the other levels. It is a natural progressive process as we grow spiritually. It is part of our human spirit awakening.

When people call for a crossover reading. I first have to wade through their fear and hold them with a loving spirit as I help them travel to other dimensions. They are always happy to talk to the spirits of their passed families or friends. They are also a little scared. Our families love to talk with us. They enjoy letting us know they are there to love and help us. Sometimes they fuss with us. Or say things to get our attention if they feel we are heading the wrong way. They know that life is a mixture of predestined events and our free will choices. If they think we are goofing up or about too, they will tell us. Crossover readings are a great expression of love.

In order to believe in ghosts, we must first believe in the struggle between the dark and light. Again there are spirits who through free will choice stay in our dimension. Some stay because of quilt, shame or fear. They are afraid to face God. Others stay behind to help a love one. Others are selfish and refuse to give up their hold on the physical life. All of these possibilities exist in that dimension. Some are happy , sad, mad. Some are downright mean or demons. Always remember that God is stronger than Satan or any ghost. When frightened pray and rebuke them. God is the stronger force and always will be. Lucifer is just a confused fallen angel. I sometimes pray for his soul. What torment.

Many of us have had wonderful experiences and protection from the angels that God has given us to help us on our journey. All of us have had things happen that are beyond consequences. Angels are God helpers. All religions speak of them, have miraculous stories about what the angels have done throughout human history. They are alive and well today still helping us in our needs. They guide, protect, stir us ever so gently on our way. I love and am thankful for the angels. God and angels have saved my life more than once, after I have made a faulty choice on my road. They always direct us back to the high path, if we seek the high path.

So, it is our responsibility to take responsibility for our life choices, learn to discern the beings from this and the other dimensions. Listen to them. Watch look and listen. If we move along our life paths we learn what works and what does not work. Always remember that we are not alone on our journey. God has given us many helpers from the various dimensions to assist and make our life better. Flow with it. Learn your lessons as you go. Help another along the way, just as the angels, spirits and yes ghosts help us. We are in this together.

It was October of 1965 and I was 5 years old. My Grandmother was our baby sitter every weekend. My father had a band so my parents were always out until 3 or 4 am. Once it got dark my grandmother and I would sit on sofa with all the lights out. She told me that there was nothing to fear of the dark. It was calm and cool in the room as we sat there, relaxed and comfortable. When we were ready, Grandmother would call the “spirits” and offer any help that might be needed.

The room would get very chilly as the atmosphere changed. You could feel a presence come into the room. This night was different however. We were visited by a spirit that was not at rest, which was not the usual. I sat very still, listening to this spirit communicate with my Grandmother. His name was Harold and he felt he was hopelessly lost. His image would appear as a wispy sort of cloud formation that sometimes took a very distinct male shape, he was tall and slender. He appeared to be an older gentleman and we could smell tobacco smoke in the air. He told us he had been killed and that no one had claimed his body. That he had been buried in a pauper’s grave with no head stone to identify him. This bothered him greatly.

I wasn’t afraid as my grandmother sat calmly listening. She told him that he had not been forgotten as he in spirit will always exist and that we were his friends and we loved him. She told him to find the soothing white light and to go there because there is where he will be with those who love him. But Harold did not want to go into the light; he didn’t want to leave his body here. He said there was something he needed from me. My Grandmother told me to put out my hand as I had done many times before into the dark. I felt his hand in mine and in that instant I knew everything he knew, all he had ever done or felt during his entire lifetime as a mortal on earth. I had put my hand out many times before for other spirits and felt there soothing energy but this one was different. At the time I was so young. I felt that my spirit took his information and kept it. I did not think of it again until October of 2006 over forty years later.

My grandmother put her arms around me that night as we put ourselves in the protection of the light, as always when ending communication with other spirits. It enveloped me as though I was being cradled by a fluffy white cloud, safe and comfy. I fell asleep that night feeling like a typical 5 year old, after our spiritual contact was done for the night. In

October of 2006, I was on my tread mill; it was early evening, so the room was dimly lit. I suddenly knew that there was someone else in the room with me. I turned to look to my side; my Grandmother was standing beside me. She had passed on several years before and had visited me on other occasions but never did she appear so “real” as she did this time. She looked exactly as she did when I was younger, she was right there beside me. I could smell her perfume in the room. I jumped off the tread mill so fast that I fell.

As I looked up at her from the floor, she very calmly told me, that Harold was coming…. I would be ill, she said, but not to be afraid because she would be with me to protect me. 2 days later in the mail I received a letter from an old friend from back when I was 13 years old. He was in prison for killing a man his letter read, so he has a life sentence. He wanted me to write to him as he was lonely and claimed he had not been the one to kill the man.

That night as I was relaxing on the couch, almost asleep, I heard a man’s voice directly by my ear shout “Lisa!” It scared me to death. There was no one in the room but me and yet, the voice had come from directly beside me. I sat up and looked around the room. It became cooler instantly and there was, Harold, in my living room looking exactly as he did when I saw his spirit 40 years ago. He said he was the man that my old friend had killed. He wanted me to help him. Everything I had felt before when I was 5 years old and had taken Harold’s hand in mine returned, but this time, I could also feel it. I saw and felt everything that Harold had. I saw what he saw as he lay dying looking into the eyes of my old friend who had beaten him so severely. My head hurt terribly my throat felt like it was closed and I couldn’t breathe. The pain was so severe at first but then it faded with the image of the eyes of his killer being the last thing he saw before leaving his body.

I knew exactly what had happened to him, exactly how he felt, first the fear, then the pain and then the wonder… the feeling of not belonging, a loneliness so powerful that it hurt. Harold had been killed viciously by a boy that had just turned to a man of 18; my old friend from the past that I had not seen or heard from since we were 13. Harold’s body had been buried in an unmarked grave, as no family had claimed his poor damaged body. There was no marker to gaze at with his name upon it on his grave. He told me that he would forgive his killer if he would only put a marker upon his final resting place and that he wanted me to tell him this.

I wrote to my “x” old friend and told him that I knew what he had done and that the man whose life he had taken so viscously in the past was willing to forgive him if only he would have his grave marked with his name. He wrote back quickly, astonished that I knew exactly what he had done that night to Harold as there was no one else there but the 2 of them at the time and he had religiously, with the hope of possibly gaining his freedom from prison, upheld his claim of innocence. In the letter he admitted his guilt, he wrote that he was haunted every night with the visions of what he had done and he had prayed for relief. Harold was willing to forgive for so little and yet…. his killer did not do as he had been asked.

Two weeks past again while relaxing on the couch I was visited by the demons that would follow Harold’s killer eternally. They appeared as small gargoyle like creatures, ugly and cold. Their presence was so frightening that I went into seizures that night and was taken to the hospital. The next morning in the hospital room my Grandmother was there sitting as I woke. “You have done all you can now for Harold, you must rest” she said quietly. I fell back asleep that morning with my Grandmother beside me and left the hospital later that day.

My old, now not a friend, is still in prison, the ugly creatures surrounding him every night. Reminding him always of that night when he so wrongly took a life. He is unwilling to forget it, it is his own guilt that haunts him now and he has yet to mark the grave of his victim. Why this man is not willing to do such a small thing for relief from his haunting madness? I do not know. Harold however now peacefully exists in spirit, head stone or not. He has gone on to the white light where he is greatly loved and appreciated. “Love all that you can with all that you have for it is love that lasts eternally,” says Grandmother. In memory of My Grandmother this story is not to be repeated without my name and hers upon it.

I had am imaginary friend when I was young that took me away from my day to day life experiences and helped me turn them into a peaceful heavenly realm. I used to get excited about my experiences as a child and the first time I got a bit weirded out is when my mum took me to the beach one day and my imaginary friend made me run around saying,  “look Aura, look up here.” The sun was glaring in my eyes and then a big friendly  golden Buddha kept smiling at me “I’m over here.”

The golden figure kept moving and saying I’m over here until I visited every tent on the beach. I met all the children in the area and we all ran to the Buddha. Mind you I didn’t quite know what a Buddha was back then, I just saw a big golden figure with a big happy face…all my friends could see it as well accept for our dear parents.

Well when I grew older and learned about the golden Buddhas I was stunned  and astounded by it’s spiritual meaning. I then realized I was touched by a beautiful unique experience & explored my way into deeper spiritual depth and it continued to grow within me over the years. I am very connected with my guides and I meditate on issues that concern me & others I read for. They never fail to give me or the ones I choose to help the answers needed. I am glad to have to have unique connection.

My spiritual journey began as a young child at the young age of 9 years old. I knew things were different and unusual in my world. At this tender age there was no one to talk to about my unusual spiritual experiences, and believe me, there were many. I always sensed and knew I was different.  I had the ability to feel things and also hear voices of spirit.   I perceived the energies of another person’s energy field and was able to read a situation before it presented itself.  My clairvoyance skills began to grow in my late teen and twenties.  I began to study everything about the world of spirit and energy.  I found psychics to go to and took some intro astrology classes and read many books on metaphysics, healing and other inspirational self- help materials.

My journey continued through many struggles and challenges and mostly it was about accepting this gift I was born with.  But it wasn’t until losing my precious daughter that life took on a whole new perspective. My heart cracked wide open with the pain of my loss and my world just opened up to another dimension.  This rebirth and healing became a spiritual awakened moment.  My daughter, Lindsey, now in spirit, began connecting with me through the clients I served, talking to me through the songs she loved; and the songs became messages calling me to open to the spirit world. Sometimes this was a lonely road even though I was grieving there was this knowing that all would be well. It was bittersweet, yes, of course I would love nothing more to have her here with me today, however, because of this tragedy I was able to open up and fully embrace who I am.  I will be eternally grateful for her short life, our connection in spirit.     

Today I have had the privilege of working with spirit in a variety of ways. I still study, do readings and teach workshops that empower people to grow and find their own intuitive unique gifts.  This is my true joy. Life is about claiming the wisdom, knowledge and beauty of your unique energies.  Reaching out and knowing that you have the insight and power to choose what is best for you, but there may be more yet to be revealed. Not seeing a vacation in your future? Time off away from stress is essential to our mental health and spiritual well-being. Schedule aside a few minutes to indulge in the following meditation.

Follow me; your guided mental vacation is awaiting you!
1.Envision in front of you 8 steps. (I like to envision them as sand filled boardwalk steps.) These steps lead down to the beach. Each step is warm from the sun.

2.As you count backwards from 8 – 0 step on each step and feel the warmth of it under your feet. When you are on the last step down and you say “zero” you will automatically find yourself on a warm beach.

3.Your feet are in the sand. You can feel the warmth rise up through you entire body. You feel so warm safe and comfortable that you decide to sit down in the sand.

4.You can feel the warmth on your bottom, the sun caressing your face and the wind gently blowing your hair.

5.You gaze off out into the ocean and see the sun shining high in the sky. Staring at the sun you begin to relax deeper and deeper. Envisioning the sun setting you relax more and more with each drop down of the sun’s light in front of you.

6.When the sun reaches the water horizon line and sets behind it; you will become totally relaxed and in a deep state of relaxation. As you envision this say to yourself setting, setting, set.

7.After the sun sets; you will become sleepy and decide to lay back in the sand. You feel the sand warming and caressing your entire body and you feel totally peaceful and relaxed.

8.Start again from the beginning and repeat the visualizations and affirmations as many times as you need to until you reach your desired level of relaxation. When you are through; simply count back up from 0-8 and envision yourself walking back up the sandy steps and back into your daily life. 

You should feel revived, relaxed, cleansed of negativity and find yourself in a peaceful state of consciousness as you go about your regular activities. Take one of these mental vacations anytime you are tensed stressed or fatigued. My friend and I used to like to practice this meditation together and add in some creative elements, like pool boys fanning us in the sun, or sipping fruity drinks – ect. you can add any elements you desire to your mental vacation. With your creativity and some practice the possibilities to your never ending vacation are limitless. You will start to feel like you can get away and have a vacation anytime you desire. The best part is you don’t have to take off of work for it and it only costs a few minutes of your time.

Not many of us what to move mountains or leap tall buildings in a single bound but we all want to live loving, peaceful, happy, productive lives…right?

Sometimes, we get stuck.  We get into situations that drag us down or lead us to places we would rather not visit.  And, worse yet, most of the time, we don’t even know how we get into these predicaments.  So, what’s the problem?  Why don’t we have the love and harmony we so desperately need?  More important, are there answers?  Can you really change the way your life is going?

Well, the good news is … YES!  Does that sound unbelievable?  Well, it’s true.  If we really think about it, the answers are easy.  But, answers are always easy when someone is willing to help you find them. Remember, we usually don’t remember  who we truly are … loving spirits, created to be happy, prosperous and content.  We get locked into various bodies of different shapes, colors and sizes and spend endless years trying to figure out how to make them work.  There are no manuals, no pictures, no CD’s… nothing but trial and error.  We get tossed in with other bodies going through the same struggle.  They’re called family.  If that’s not bad enough, we usually get mixed up with lots of bodies that don’t know how or won’t spend the time to learn how to live within their new habitat and they can go on the attack, hoping that nobody will notice how out of control they really are.  They’re called friends and co-workers.   Sometime, we even catch up with those who still don’t have a clue but really don’t want you to know it.  They’re our intimate relationships.  The really sad part of all of this is that we are seldom aware that we are all a part of these groups at one time or another.  Think about it!  If we’re really lucky, we’ll be throne into the path of one who does remember and knows exactly who they are.  There called the responsible.

If you meet a responsible, they’ll embrace you, without even the slightest touch, their spirit melds with your spirit.  You will know one when you meet one, almost immediately.  You’ll hear the love in their voice, see it in their smile, feel it in their warmth and know it from their honesty.  They’re full of love.  They want to help you because they remember who they are and know who you are.  They understand why they remember; they have a mission.  They’re out there, all around us, looking just like us, except that they remember.  And with that memory comes responsibility.

The responsible are just that.  They’ll tell you the truth and help you to recognize it in your life’s situation.  They know that the truth will set you free from those things that hold you back from becoming the best you possible.  They know how to show you the first step in remembering and they’ll happily stay with you for the entire journey.  They realize that there is tremendous power in remember who you are and how that enables you to live more comfortably.  They want, no, they must share it with you.  You’ll begin to understand how to live with the restrictions of your body and with those around you who don’t yet remember.

Once you know and understand what this all means, claim your rights and learn to use your innate power, you’ll be on your way, armed with all you need to get to your rightful destination…heir to love, peace, happiness and all that is good.  Now you know the first step toward love peace and contentment…  YOU must remember who you are.  When you’re ready, a responsible will be there to guide you.  Your paths are meant to cross.

To have your psychic professional give you an akashic reading you will want to come prepared with 2 things. Questions and time.  First, the questions you will want to prepare should ask, why? And how?  The Akashic Records are best used to develop and flesh out and understanding of a situation.  The records are not really a predictive tool in the sense that it is a field of information, so, it will produce the capacity for many different outcomes based on the choices YOU as the record holder make.  You can get a general sense of your options for future choices, but to ask “When will my soul mate arrive?” would be futile as The Akashic Records are not set up in the linear time space continuum that we, as humans are.  A better question would be “What do I need to know about myself that would enable my soul mate to arrive more quickly?”  The record keepers will give only the information that is required for a person to know in a particular time.  We can always ask for clarity and there is no limit to how many times we can enter the records.  The other important idea to keep in mind is that you are having your psychic professional enter the records on your behalf and to have a reading done within The Records does take some time.  Ideally, readers who are giving a reading face to face use 30 to 60 minutes to flesh out the information being received for a client.  Naturally, that isn’t always feasible for those clients who are looking for a shorter phone reading or on a tighter budget, so I would suggest that you allow at least 15 minutes.  It takes a few minutes to shift into the vibration of the records so please be patient with your advisor.
