The holidays can be a stressful time, so when asked how you can de-stress, there are several pieces of advice I give. The most important one is to breathe, relearn how to breathe correctly. Some call this “yogic breathing”. There’s a deep, natural way we breathed when we were first born, and throughout childhood. This is in perfect alignment with how our bodies are built to breathe. But with time, many become conditioned to breathe improperly–we learn to suck in the gut, or try to avoid discomfort in uncomfortably fitting clothing. Proper, natural breathing not only gets more oxygen to the brain, which creates feelings of well-being, calmness, and clear-mindedness, but I see it as a way of inviting our Spirit in. We are the breath; the body breathes us. What’s great is, it’s a simple thing to learn (or unlearn), and you can do it anywhere and in any moment, including while waiting in long lines for checkout. I cannot stress the importance of this more.

There are a few others I’d like to mention. Take care of your body–providing the required nutrients and rest is essential to keeping it together. Make sure you are eating plenty of healthy foods, and if you’re on the go, it’s better to take a healthy snack with you than to grab some drive-thru grease. If your body’s lacking what it needs, there’s more likely to be stress.

Notice the world around you. Get out of your head, and look around. Just take in where you are and use your physical senses. This refreshes the mind and resets/recharges the mental energy–as well as helps you avoid accidents and physical obstacles. Your awareness expands, avoiding the tunnel vision that comes with extreme stress.

Maintain social bonds. Remember–this is what the holidays are all about! Touch base with people. Set aside a few minutes a day just to acknowledge the personal relationships in life, and that we’re all human. Not only does this feel good and contributes to our sense of well-being, but you might pick up a compliment, a supportive word from a friend, or an acknowledgement of all your hard work. You will find that those you share the most loving relationships with are quite reciprocal, and give back at least as much as you put into them.

For your own de-stressers this holiday season, give Psychic Gabriel a call today!

This week, we sat down with one of our newer Psychics, Peter. Boy were we glad we did! He had some great stories about using his psychic gifts, resolutions and always carrying a pendulum with him, just in case…

During the holidays, people are often stressed about having too much to do. How do you keep things in check during the busy season?

The two things that keep my stress under control, and I preach this too all my family and friends, are organization and meditation. If you have a timeline for the holidays it can help tremendously to write it all down, with maybe a little space for additions for those last minute issues you can’t avoid. I start with decorating (my partner and I LOVE holiday decoration) and plan which gifts to buy each week leading up to the big day, and keep our calendar tight until the day after Christmas.

No matter how organized you are, though, even looking at this list can still be overwhelming. I meditate every day, it keeps me sane and open to guidance. During the holiday seasons I have a lot of family to meet, and it’s not always super cheerful so that can be a major stressor as well – the classic holiday dichotomy of joy and dread. So each morning during these times I include a period of reflection on the people in my family, recall fond memories of childhood, and generally try to connect with the Spirit of the Family. I find that this makes me feel more at ease and better able to just spend our time together enjoying family, food, and the celebration instead of dwelling on any family gossip or bad news.

Have any Holiday stories to share where you used your Psychic gift?

So, the first psychic tool I ever used was a pendulum, and I still use it sometimes after these past 15 or so years. I’m one of those people who can’t keep track of my own belongings, but I always know where everyone else’s things are! So I keep a pendulum handy for dowsing for my keys, my glasses, my phone… basically anything not nailed down I can lose.

A few years back, I was shopping for a relative that I didn’t know very well. We do the old name-drawing thing in my family; there’s about fifty of us all together so some of the usual gift exchange game can get to be really long. Well, I got the name of one of my uncles the year I turned 18, because that’s the age when you draw adult names. I’d spent time with him, but gift giving is tough if you don’t know someone really well. You have the choice of either finding out from someone else what they would like, drawing on your limited experience with them, or getting something generic. We’ve all been in this situation before.

Well, I went to the local mall to do some christmas shopping with one of my friends, and I happened to have my pendulum with me. After we tracked down the presents she needed, and had taken care of the handful of people that I always get presents for, I was left with my uncle’s present to decide on. We had combed this mall and I still had no idea what to get him. It was actually my friend who suggested I whip out the pendulum and dowse for his gift!

Now, this is a crowded mall, and I’m still pretty quiet about what I can do – this is long before I ever read energy or cards for anyone not related to me or a close personal friend. But having my friend with me made it a little less embarrassing, so I pulled it out of it’s little pouch, said my little prayer and let it swing. We had to walk circles around the big fountain in the middle of the mall before we narrowed down a particular wing, then a branch, then a store, and then a section. I looked all over the little alcove of shelves worth of camping equipment. It seemed reasonable enough – my uncle loved to camp and some of my early memories of him were of camping up in the mountains. But, he had every camping gadget you could want! There wasn’t anything particular newfangled on the shelves, but as I was looking at everything, I got a whiff of my uncle’s cologne.

Now, it’s a distinct smell, and to me it’s ‘his’ smell even though it’s a common cologne because it’s what he’s worn since he was about 17 according to my mom. It’s Aviator, and I caught just a brief scent of it so subtle that it almost wasn’t there. It happened when I stopped in front of a little portable grill set – the kind you put up on legs over a fire. It was so basic I thought surely this would be a pointless gift, but the more I handled it the more I just felt like I was getting ‘stuck’ to this thing, I just couldn’t put it down. So, I gambled on my intuition and bought it.

When my uncle opened the box a week or so later, he seemed a lot more excited than I expected, and for a moment I thought he was placating me for my first adult gift exchange in the family. Turns out, his old set had finally begun to pop apart (repeated cooking weakens the welds that hold the grill on the legs) and he’d been putting off buying another set for months.

Ever since that time, I take a pendulum with me just in case.

Tis the season to give and often that means someone is always taking. When discussing this type of issue with a client, what advice do you give them?

Whether it’s a romantic relationship, a career condition, or just one of those people in your life it seems like everyone comes up against this at some point. The way I see it, and what I tell my clients, is that it’s about knowing where your boundaries are, and what your threshold is.

So many of my clients have wide open hearts, and they will give everything until they are just wiped out in the hope that they can make some kind of an impact on another person. I think that it’s a really beautiful idea, but only if you know how much you have to realistically give. So the first thing to do with this kind of issue is recognize what you have to give. There’s absolutely no shame is accepting that there is a limit here and a lot of people just don’t want to acknowledge it because they believe that giving without end is what being a good person means. But it’s like the saying, “Give a man a fish…”

The other part is making boundaries and sticking to them. So many of us are really uncomfortable setting boundaries because we’ve been really deeply connected to everyone around us, in some cases, our whole lives. The idea that we need to have boundaries and make them clear is foreign, so when someone pushes the envelope just a bit and find that there isn’t the resistance they encounter elsewhere, they push a little more. It isn’t because they’re bad people – it’s just human nature to do this and at some point we all have. In fact, we see this at it’s most primal and innocent in toddlers who push boundaries with their parents just to figure out where they are! It’s not much different, almost everyone you meet will test boundaries in some way.

So being conscious of just what we have to give, and where we will draw the line, is a very big part of dealing with chronic ‘takers’. It’s just as important to recognize that knowing yourself and staying true to yourself is a good thing, and and withdrawing your gift giving hand from the chronic takers doesn’t make you a bad person – in the end you’re doing them good if they’re the type of person who will adjust their lives according to those experiences. If they aren’t, then there’s a good chance they’re a lifer and as much as we wish we could, you can’t change anyone who won’t learn.

With the New Year coming up, resolutions are on people’s minds. What are a few tips you’d suggest to your clients on how to make realistic resolutions and stick to them?

I’m a big fan of writing things down. I have to be organized because it’s in my nature to be entirely freestyle – which is a clever way of saying entirely disorganized. So, with my new years resolutions I like to get myself a little journal and track my progress. If you have a phone that can give you calendar alerts, these things are priceless! I have an alarm set at around just after dinner time each day that goes off with a little message telling me it’s time to check in with myself. So I journal for sometimes just two or three minutes to keep track.

You have to be completely objective, honest, and non-judgmental about this process – and that goes for any way you try to fulfill your resolutions. Being judgmental is just as bad as making excuses. If you can be entirely honest with yourself, without judging yourself negatively when you slip up or don’t meet those first few goals of the year, you’re likely to just give up all together and feel much worse than you did before. When it comes to resolutions, you aren’t challenging anyone but yourself and it isn’t a race you can lose or win. I like to see all of my resolutions as experiments, I watch myself each day, check in periodically, and track my results as I go. Then later you can have the added motivator of reading back over the previous month to see just how much progress you’ve really made. Some changes can be too gradual to notice on a day by day basis.

Another tip is to be patient with your resolutions. Losing weight, being more social, picking up or mastering a hobby or skill, all take time and patience. Instead of setting your end goal – “This year I’m going to be healthy all year” – think about the other little goals that lead up to that one. Instead of a resolution to be “healthy” you might be more specific – quite smoking, give up soda, only eat meat three out of seven days a week, etc.

Resolutions can be organized as well. If your goal is to be able to run a 26k by the end of the year, set yourself realistic landmarks over the year. This way your resolution become a project that you can work on over the course of the year and you have a way to acknowledge concrete progress as you do and keep yourself motivated until your reach that end goal.

Finally, don’t set resolutions that you won’t enjoy. That doesn’t mean excluding hard work! But, first instance if you’ve never run a day in your life, don’t set the marathon as a resolution for yourself – give it a short try first to see if you can get into it. Anything we pursue in life is more fulfilling if we enjoy it! When we intentionally pursue a personal goal that we loathe, when we get there we’re just glad it’s over. If we enjoy it, then getting to the goal is just the beginning of a new journey!

If a caller doesn’t tell me their name, I will ask them what it is. There is a lot that can be learned by a name. I like to look at what is called a cornerstone aspect (in numerology) it provides a quick feel of a person’s energy. The cornerstone is the first letter of the first name. I also will ask for a partner’s first name if the question is about their relationship. Again, it gives a feel for the energy they “bring” together. I might also ask for their birth date using that as a very general guide to what might be occurring in their life at the moment. Usually, my caller will tell me about their situation, which I find does help me when supplying them with a more specific and detailed reading. I like to feel that we are working through a situation together.

When did you really start to focus on your gifts & start using them in your everyday life? Can you share a personal story that demonstrates a first time?

This is sort of a funny question for me. I remember having experiences before I even set foot in kindergarten. “Spirits” were coming to me and talking with me even as a child. I had a profound sense that I was being taught by my guides about people and the world itself. I had an experience, which I now believe was one of my guides and not a typical ghost when I had started kindergarten. I was refusing to go to sleep one night but I was sent to bed anyway. As I lay in bed, very stubborn of course, I noticed that my closet door was sliding open and this figure was sitting in the closet. It frightened me so much, that I pulled the covers over my head and went to sleep. This happened one additional time, for the same reason. The message that was conveyed to me was “go to sleep.” I remember going to school and telling one of my classmates about the spirits I interacted with. She looked at me as if I had two heads. It was at this point I realized that everyone did not have these kinds of experiences. I learned to stay very mute about my gifts for many years.

What’s one of the most memorable Psychic experiences you’ve ever had?

By far my most memorable experience has been when I was meditating and praying and I found myself in the presence of the Archangel Michael. He relayed many things to me about my personal life situation; and he also showed me things that were to come. The things I saw I could not fully understand. One of the images was of the Twin Towers being attacked. When 9/11 occurred, I knew that it was one of the futuristic signs that I had been shown. I have also had dream experience where I would see a plane crash and then learn about it on the news. I always felt as if I was there to help spirits go into the light. There are really so many amazing experiences.

Has anything in your own life, affected your gift, whether it be a family member who was a psychic or a run-in early on with a spirit or ghost?

My grandmother and I were very close. We had been visiting her in a hospital every weekend for many months. I did not understand at the time, but she was terminally ill with cancer. Being only seven years old, I was not told exactly what was going on. One night I was awakened by the sound of my grandmother’s voice, as I opened my eyes, I saw her standing by the foot of my bed. I had no sense of fear whatsoever. She told me that was going away and that she was all right. I fell back asleep, and the next morning when I got up, my mother broke the news to me that my grandmother had passed away in the night. I told my mother what had happened and she hugged me. I knew she believed me because she had a similar experience with her own father years before.

What’s one commonality you’ve noticed amongst your psychic peers, other than the fact that you’re all extremely gifted?

Although we are indeed all gifted, we all receive and interpret information differently. I have a very close friend who is also very psychic and when we get talking, readings just start rolling off our tongues back and forth. I love sharing with other psychics because they understand the process so well. We act as each other’s battery.

If you could pass out some words of wisdom to those going through a difficult time, what would you say?

I would tell anyone going through a hard time to have faith and remember that life goes in circles. We all have our ups and downs. I personally have been through many difficult situations and the one thing that is constant is my understanding that things are happening for a reason. I may not understand the reason right at the time, but afterwards, it becomes clear. Often these periods are when we learn the most, and by learning I mean growing in spirit. I often remind people, that to make a perfectly sharp sword, it has to be placed in the fire and then hammered repeatedly. I think that’s the best analogy I can think of.

With the holidays coming up quickly, will you get more calls about family stress? What do you tell clients when they call concerned about family drama during the holiday?

Often we have a great deal of expectations during the holidays, and many are really exaggerated. We expect too much of ourselves and too much from others. We want to buy the right gifts, make the best dinners and parties, decorate everything perfectly, etc. Then there are all those feelings that have not been worked out with family and friends and we are often thrown together. Those feelings have to come out sometime and when we add all the stress of the season to the mix, that’s when all the dramas take place. My best advice is to simplify and enjoy rather than extend oneself too thin, only to have an unpleasant season. Try to stay in the moment rather than hashing up past problems. If you stay even tempered, most likely everyone else will too. At the very least, you won’t engage in the ruckus.

Want to ask Psychic Sarah Rose some of your own questions? Give her a call!

On the day before Thanksgiving, we’re spending some time with Psychic Camille. She told us some pretty amazing stories about realizing her gift, using it in her own personal life and what words she lives by.

What made you become a professional Psychic?

Since I was a small child I have always read for people, while growing up I went the traditional way collage and corprate job. Know matter what job I had or what position I held I did not have fulfillment. Their was a time I can remember I could not wait to get into my car so I could speak to my clients. My guide just kept saying jump, so I woke up one day and said 3 months and I will do readings full time. Once I let myself accept moving forward with using my gifts to help people fulltime everything fell into place. I have known since I was a small child that my role this life time was to help people. This is my role this lifetime to help people.

Can you recall a time where your gifts helped you out or into a personal situation?

When I was a district manager I had to deal with alot of people and issues. One of the responablity I had was to hirer people, as you know it can be hard when your interviewing alot of people for certain types of jobs. During that time I would use my gifts all the time to make sure I was hiring the wright people for the job. With me trusting my guides we had the lowest turn in people in our company.

How do you separate yourself from your clients troubles and worries after you end a call? How do you stay grounded?

Well, funny you should ask I get asked this all the time. I do use burn white sage in my home, I also clear myself during maditation. Being psychic you have to make sure you keep yourself grounded. I have learned to make certain things a priorty in my day to day life to keep myself balanced and grounded one of the things. I do daily is maditation and I also get outside for 1/2 hour or so and just enjoy the fresh air. When the weather is nice I do go running.

The Holiday season can be difficult, with family stress, money concerns and loneliness. Do you have any advice you give to clients when they call about any of these?

The Holidays can be very diffcult for many people, I feel that during a diffcult time you have to take care of you because if your not doing ok how are you going to take care of anyone. Let me give you an example if you have the flu you slow down and take care of yourself you may need to stay home for a few days just to let yourself heal. Emotional Stress needs to be treated very much the sameway you need to let yourself feel the way you feel, know that its just a moment in time its not forever. What we also need to do is look at our prospective towards our expectations and our own ablitiy. Sometimes we put so much presser on ourselfs and expect so much from us we cant do it all. The Holidays are all about planning really sitting down and writing it out, where your going and what you have to take as a gift and who you have to buy for. Look at what your able to spend on each person and the gifts that you bring to all of the partys. The holidays are not about spending a lot its about creating a warm setting in your home and spending time with people you really dont get to see to often through out the year.

Do you find more people calling during the holiday season looking for love. What do you suggest to them?

During the Holidays can be very difficult if your single you always feel like the 5th wheel. Its not about feeling bad for yourself its about you letting yourself be comfortable in your own skin during the holidays. Just because your looking for love does not mean you have to be upset at the world during the holiday season. People are drawn to people that are happy and excited. Its about you looking at what you have and what your happy for in your own life it not about what you dont have its about what you do have, and let yourself be happy about that.
One does not need someone to enjoy the little things in your life with, like snow falling at the wee hours of the morning, or enjoying baking cookies just for you. I personally enjoy putting everyone to bed and lighting the candles through out my home and turning the christmas tree lights on and putting my favoritye christmans CD in and wrapping christmas presents. I enjoy the light music and the quiet. During the holidays its not about being alone its about finding your own path your own way and knowing that its ok.

Do you have a particular quote you live by? If so how did you come to choose that? If not, explain your philosophy on life.

The quote that truly live by is by St. John Bosco
I will take no unnecerry walks.
I will make exactingly careful use of my time.
When the salvation of souls is at stake I will always be ready to act, to suffer, and to humble myself.
May the charity and gentleness of St. Francis de Sales inform my every action.
I will always be content with the food set before me unless it is really harmful to my health.
Since work is a powerful weapon against the enemies of my salvation will take only five hours sleep a night.
During the day, especially after dinner, I will take no rest, except in case of illness.
Everyday I will devote sometime to meditation and spiritual reading.
During the day I will make a short visit,or at least a prayer, to the Blessed Sacrament.
My preparation for Mass shall last at least a quarter of an hour and so shall my thanksgiving.
Outside the confessional and save in cases of strict necessity I will never stop to talk to women.
St. John Bosco

My own personal philosophy on life is:
Life is about growing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritally.
Its about us owning our own growth, and putting energy into moving forward in our own life.
Holding ourselfs accountable to pushing are selfs to the next place in our life.

What made you decide to become a professional Psychic?

I decided to become a professional psychic because even though I had this gift when I was younger , as I grew into adulthood I learned that any job or profession one has, that if you can honestly put your heart and soul into it , then that is where you should be and what you should persue. I love to be a help to people. Especially when it is what I feel has been a God given talent and gift.

Can you recall a time where your gift helped you out (or into) a personal situation?

My dreams help me in my own life. I have both precognative and postcognative dreams.
How do you separate yourself from your clients’ troubles & worries after you end a call? How do you stay grounded?

Uaually clapping 3 times will clear the energy between readings and or clearing bells. Of course a brand new shuffle with the cards as well. I stay grounded by using crystals and hematite. However at the end of the day I do keep my clients in my heart and prayers.

The holiday season can be difficult, with family stress, money concerns, and loneliness. Do you have any advice you give to clients when they call about any of these?

I have advice yes, for clients during the stresses of the season, but each client is different, thus leading to different advice for each individual. If I had to give a general advice it would be to “keep the holidays in perspective and what it means to the individual, that way one would find some centered peace even in the worst of times.” keeping things in persepective can work miracles.

Do you find more people calling during the holiday season looking for love? What do you suggest to them?

I dont really note a higher volume of questions pertaining to love during the holiday season than any other time of the year. If I had to make a general suggestion on love and holidays, I’d simply say love finds all of us in due time…one need not “per say” LOOK for love but be open to love.

Do you have a particular quote you live by? If so, how did you come to choose that? If not, explain your philosophy on living your life.

“To everything there is a season” found in the bible Eccl. 3:1 Change is inevitable and during hard times I find knowing that can be very comforting.

Have more questions about your own situation? Call Psychic Agnes today!

Yesterday, Psychic Sarah Rose shared a haunting tale about a woman and a spirit. Today, the tales continue & she tells one that will make you think twice about antiques and the stories behind them.

The Pitcher

It would seem that not only people but inanimate objects can be touched by various energies. As soon as my friend, Tammy returned from vacation with her family, she called me to come by. Tammy loved antiques, but she was the type of person who used the antique piece she purchased. If it was a chair it was sat in, if it was a book it was read, and if it was a table it was put to good use.

No sooner had I stepped into her house than she carried out her newest find. An old white pitcher with hand-painted blue flowers on the side. For some reason I took an instant dislike to it. Tammy could see the look on my face and she admitted, “it’s really not that pretty, is it?” “No!” I answered her. She nodded and started to walk away. “I was so sorry as soon as I bought it, but that’s not even the point.” She motioned me to follow her into the kitchen.

She went to the refrigerator and poured a small glass of milk and had me sip it. It was fresh and tasted fine. Then she poured the milk from the glass into the pitcher and back into the glass. She handed me the glass. Well, I didn’t have to taste the milk to know it had turned. It smelled very bad.

“It must have a metal base under the china or something that can turn milk sour,” I offered. “Well, I don’t know about that,” she told me and then she said, “wait ’til you see this!” She washed the pitcher and dried it. Then, she ran some fresh water into it and took some bright yellow gladiolus from a vase and stuck them in the pitcher. Instantly, right before our eyes, the flowers started withering and drooping over one by one. She picked up the pitcher and asked me if I wanted it for free! I told her no thanks!

A little while later I asked her what she had done with the pitcher. She got a strange smile on her face and whispered I gave it away to my church for their annual white elephant sale.

This of course beckons the warning – always be careful when buying antiques, you just might be getting much more than you think!

Have a tale of your own that needs deciphering? Why not call Psychic Sarah Rose!

Psychic Joseph sat down with us and really opened up about his Psychic mentors, the Spirit of Halloween and how he puts an optimistic twist on receiving bad news.

Do you remember your first Psychic encounter? What happened?

I was 5 years old. Our neighbor next door had a dog named Mr. Chips. Mr. Chips was missing for two days and the neighbors had looked everywhere they could think to look. I was sitting in my bedroom thinking about chips and heard a voice say “look under the porch”. I looked under our porch and the neighbor’s porch just to find nothing. That’s when my attention was drawn to an old abandon house on the other side of the field behind our house. I looked under the old weather beaten porch and found Mr. Chips. He had a broken leg. I ran to the neighbor’s house and told them. They took Mr. Chips to the vet and he wore an awkward cast on his right hind leg for a while but he healed and was good as new. We never did find out how Chips had broken his leg but where happy to have him back.

Who’s the most influential teacher you’ve had?

I was blessed to be raised in a family where my Mother and Grandmother were both professional readers. They started teaching me Tarot and symbolism at a very young age. I had had quite a few spiritual teachers over the years. However the “most influential teacher” I’ve had, would be my Grandfather. He would take me out in the woods and we would fish, pick wild berries, or just walk. The whole time he was teaching me about our Earth Mother and her many wonders. He showed me how to read the signs in nature, Know what the weather would be from watching the animals and insects. We spent a lot of time with him showing me herbs and plants that were used for healing. He showed me what the Earth can provide on a mundane and spiritual level. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren and try to show them all the wonders of nature that my Grandfather showed me. My Grandfather would always say “listen to the trees and voice of the nature spirits”. Even now when I walk in the woods, I can feel my Grandfather’s presence as I listen to the language of trees and the voice of the forest.

When you connect with someone, what sensations do you get?

As soon as I hear a caller’s voice I start to get an idea of why they are calling. Sometimes it is just a feeling, other times I start seeing images in my mind right away. Sometimes I get a feeling of sadness, joy or excitement. Sometimes I will see images of things that are going on in their life. Each reading is different and the sensations I get when first connecting will be different as well.

What do you tell your clients who are disappointed with a particular piece of information?

I wish all the information I give clients could be good. However, sometimes I have to tell a client something that they will not like. I explain that the future is not written in stone. That is the whole reason to get a reading. My Mother always said “to know is to advert”. If a client likes what we see about a Particular aspect of their life, then they should keep doing exactly what they have been doing. If they don’t like what we see, then they can make a slight adjustment in the path they are walking and that will surely change the outcome.

Is Halloween a special holiday for you, due to the veil between this world and the spirit world being at its thinnest?

Oct. 31st is a very special time for me. I do acknowledge the Holidays of the western world, but I celebrate the Holidays of the agricultural calendar. Oct. 31st is Samhain pronounced “Sow-wen” or in Gaelic “shav-nah”, meaning 3RD Harvest or Final Harvest. This is the end of the “lighter half” of the year and beginning of the “darker half”. The veil between the world of man and the realm of Spirit is the thinnest at this time of year. This is a time that I set aside to commune with those who have passed over. I have a room in my home that I use only for prayer, devotion and meditation. Oct.31st is the only time that I eat in this room. On the night of Samhain eve, I prepare a meal of pork and greens. I partake of this meal in a very quiet and serene manner. During this meal, more often than not I receive messages from those who have passed. This tradition is known as “Dumb Supper” or “Feast of the Dead”.

During the month of October, do you feel more connected with Spirit?

Not really “more connected”, as I feel connected to spirit all year long. The veil between man and spirit is the thinnest from mid Oct. until the Winter Solstice (Yule). There is more spirit activity at this time of year. The animals are more sensitive to it than I am. Sometimes the dogs will bark at a movement in the house and the cats may display unusual behavior. Mostly for me the month of Oct. is a time to give thanks and bid farewell to the Harvest, a time to prepare for the darker, colder months to come.
