One of the most difficult things when an advisor is giving a reading has to do with the timing of events. Each advisor has different skills, and uses different divination tools. When a client asks when an event is going to happen….such as a job interview, the selling of property or when am I going to see him/her again or when will he/she call or when will I meet Mr. Right…. some advisors will receive a message such as spring/summer/fall etc. Others may receive specifics such as numbers 2, 3, 4, which can be interpreted in terms of days weeks or months or others may be specific with a day and time.

I am here to tell you that timing is a linear, man-made concept. When dealing with the universal energy in a reading it can be heard, seen or read in the tarot. Because the event may not happen in the time frame that has been given by the advisor “don’t shoot the messenger!”

A variety of factors have to be considered. The first is your thoughts about the situation. ”Energy and intent” will help to manifest the outcome. But if you think…”well, let’s just see if they are right…” you are projecting your opinion that it may not.

The other is “free will.” This is not a cop-out phrase, but no one has control over the event or the other persons’ actions or thoughts. We can read and see what will happen but when it comes down to the “action” it is the responsibility of the other person to follow through. No advisor has the ability to control the situation or person or the timing of the event…we read the energy of the situation at the moment.

When working with an advisor, be open and allow yourself to project a positive thought field around you. Whatever the situation is know that “you” have a conscious choice in the outcome and always remember “God doesn’t wear a Rolex.”

The holiday season is over and the New Year’s resolutions are made and perhaps some were even broken already! If this is the case, don’t despair. This is a time to start fresh; look upon this New Year as an opportunity to create your heart’s desire and focus on what it is you really want in life.

With the strain of the economy coupled with the concerns of the job market and world affairs, we’re all looking for ways to relax and keep our minds clear of stress and anxiety. Meditation is a great way to calm the mind and create a sense of solace and peace. In fact, more and more physicians are strongly suggesting meditation and yoga as a tool to reduce, prevent and control pain associated with chronic illnesses. The mind is a tool which allows us to process our day-to-day affairs and creates a vehicle of expression when communicating with others. However, sometimes the mind has a tendency to over analyze our day-to-day activities and produce drama and trauma that can wreak havoc and upset on our daily routines. Meditation can help you manage your mindset and approach to life.

To become a meditator, you need not own crystals, live on the West Coast or subscribe to New Age magazines. Meditation is “a mental bubble bath”. In fact, most of us have experienced meditation without even knowing it. How many times have we had that “special feeling” of oneness with our surroundings? Maybe it was a beautiful sunset, or watching ocean waves, feeling every motion, every sound as if we were part of the wave. Both are mesmerizing and rejuvenating. This illustrates that there is no one approved method of meditation. Just trust yourself and learn to discover a method best suited to your personality and life goals. All you need is a sincere desire to meditate and understand the value of centering to produce incredible results.

Meditation doesn’t require burning incense or contorting our bodies! As Westerners we did not learn to sit in lotus pose or even cross-legged for that matter. There are many other positions and alternatives that are quite acceptable for meditation. You could sit (in a chair or on the floor), stand, walk or lay down. Perhaps your approach involves movement of the whole body, fingers, or arms, walking, dancing, or chanting and the use of a mantra. Many forms of meditation are based upon the awareness of breath. Through your practice of meditation and the different forms and styles, you will find the one right for you.

Now all that is left to do is set time aside each day to reflect, relax and meditate. By creating a daily practice, you can expect to achieve greater clarity in your life. If you are finding it difficult to squeeze in some time each day, consider this, if you can sit for at least 8 minutes, after all, that is the television viewing time for a program, before a commercial comes on the air, you will be amazed by life changing results meditation offers.

Psychic Source presents… A brief history of Meditation.

No one knows when meditation really began, it has no certified origin but it is believed it was practiced by the hunter-gatherers thousands of years ago.

In 3000-2000 B.C. in the Vedic Tradition, meditation is described in the ancient Hindu texts and has been a part of Hinduism and its many offshoots ever since.

588 B.C. Prince Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment after meditating under a banyan tree. As a result Buddhism in all its many forms exists today.

2nd Century A.D. – Christian Meditation, the Desert Fathers, a group of early Christian monks retreated from the world to live in simplicity. Meditation by the Desert Fathers was used to get closer to God for more than 1,000 years afterwards. As a result, meditation would become an important part of Christian practice.

More than 10 million North Americans practice mediation on a regular basis, twice the number a decade ago. Meditation is becoming more mainstream and the non-mediators are becoming the minority.

YOGA AND WEIGHT LOSS

It seems that everyone is on a diet nowadays. Low Carbohydrate—Atkins diet, South Beach Diet—all you hear is “diet” this and diet that no carb this and no carb that.

What I can tell you is that “diets” don’t work! How do I know? Why am I an expert? Because I have probably been on every diet known to the human race and always seem to be perpetually trying to lose the same 10 pounds. If I think back I probably have lost close to 100 lbs. by now and it’s still the same 10 pounds. But I found a secret to unlocking the weight loss struggle. YOGA!!

How does yoga help with weight loss? By allowing you to focus on the emotional reasons and gain (pardon the pun) an understanding of eating and the consequences of what you are eating.

You need to look at your own personal values and make a list of what feels good to you so you will feel in harmony with your life. Yoga creates a vehicle of allowing you to use your mind in a focused practice of visualization and meditation by self-acceptance of who you are and your body by using the various postures (asanas) with the breath to increase flexibility and strength and your spirit which helps promote and support a new way of thinking and balance in your life.

While it is important to look at what you eat it is just as important to look at what you say to yourself and how it impacts on your own self-image. One of the reasons of having a fine exercise program or lifestyle way of eating is to keep the body functioning so well that it doesn’t have to enter your thoughts.

Why not try a new way of looking at your weight loss regime and allow yourself to put you back in control of your body, your attitude towards weight loss and your eating habits. Give yoga a try!
