Before you take a day or weekend off (or more) find 2-5 places in your area that are known to be tourist attractions and have a draw in some way. See the area you live in through the eyes of a tourist. You need not venture far to see that a vacation is really a culture of your mind not a place. Business and the arts took center stage in my younger life. My father being the founder of Snapple gave me strong roots in the business world. I became a make-up artist and hairstylist with a career spanning twenty years both in New York and California. I lived on both coasts and for seventeen years shared ownership of a kennel allowing me to make deep connections with animals.
