I stood quietly aside and noticed a shelf of candy I didn’t normally have time to peruse, and even though I’d already purchased my treat of wine gums, my eyes scanned all the yummy sugar until they became transfixed by what is called a chocolate broom. It’s marshmallow that is covered in chocolate on a stick. I could feel myself salivating and then in an instant my mind spoke to me and reminded me, “You don’t eat chocolate Cory.” It was even kind of stern not playful at all and with that, my attention was drawn up to the manager who was ready to offer me my winnings. I thanked him kindly and joyfully walked off with my bags.

I arrived home in good time (living close to the handy store) and was placing away my groceries when to my utter shock and amazement, I noticed my wine gums right beside guess what else?  Now if you’ve been following along, you don’t need to be psychic for this part. It’s probably quite obvious that indeed that very same chocolate broom that I had not even seen before and had only just chosen in my mind, had manifested in my grocery bag and not only there, but right next to my other treat.

I immediately ran to my bill to see if I had somehow picked it up to buy it, or gone into a some altered state and forgotten and no, no, no, I checked three times; there was nothing on my bill. I sat for many moments shocked by how my mind had created this experience for me. It was thrilling and not out of my realm of understanding at all.

I understood that if I was open in recognition of and respectful of the power of the unconscious mind, I could manifest absolutely anything.  Even so, it challenged my logic, as I’d never to my recollection moved anything with my mind before. It was such a cool trick and treat. I reasoned that this was the ultimate message for me that resounded with this thunderous clap of clarity in such a fine expression.�

Whatever the case, it was so fun (and apparently my inner child isn’t too thrilled with not having chocolate for ten years now.)  At this juncture, I’m still in wonderment of it all and am having a deeper conversation within to decide if a magical broom will become my delicious treat. Maybe Halloween is the perfect day to eat one.

As of this moment it’s residing in my freezer as proof to myself that anything is possible, if only I believe in the power of Alchemy to transform my view of life. Oh and I do.  It’s just that little shift of perception that occurs when all of a sudden life isn’t what you thought it was. Don’t you just love Alchemy?

Once upon a time something got lost. It could’ve been any item in your home, or in a perimeter that is enclosed somehow. The last time she used it, she was in a store. She was a customer looking to purchase an article of jewelry, if she would. I’m not actually sure of that part, I am certain it was in the last five months of her life, and that she was doing some retail therapy, amidst all of her many medical ones.

On this day, the owner of this jewelry establishment appeared upset and Anne being the kind soul she was, offered her some help. ” Is there something wrong she would ask?” The woman responded that she’d lost a large sum of money. Anne was quick to respond with ” do you have a glass? ” The story was told that the owner of this store appeared confused by the request and yet was simply desperate to try anything that might guide her to her apparent loss. From there, my mother would suggest that the apprehensive woman turn the glass over onto the corner of a table that had been just slightly moved prior.

The woman followed instructions perfectly. She found her glass, brought it over to the corner of a table, moved the table a slight bit and turned the glass over onto it. Then it was suggested she not look for the glass, rather just get on with things. It was then though that she had to make a trip upstairs and within minutes she came back down with a lovely smile on her face, and much to her utter amazement with the retrieved funds, happily mystified at what had just occurred.

My mother smiled as she recounted the story to me. I had already used this trick on several occasions, the most impressive one being finding my contact lens in a thick shag carpet many years past. I do recall losing it and then hopelessly looking before I went to get a glass to turn over. I would marvel at this particular find and ever since it has worked.

Days ago now, I thought I had lost something else and just remembered the trick to myself and how I was going to get the glass and never even got to that step, when presto, there it was. That was fun too.

Thank you my Mother, for giving me the glass trick. It’s the one of many things you shared that strings me to you with Love for Eternity. I know she might never think of herself this way in this vain about metaphysics, but my Momma had a gypsy heart.

It might not feel that way when we’re sad and worried, or even healthy, simply living out our days, as though the end of our movie will never come. Acting out our particular stories believing life will go on endlessly, often only in the extreme turmoil we find ourselves.

We can always “gather” as Kate Winslet spoke most effusively in her Golden Globe acceptance speech, as the joy of her moment seemingly overwhelmed her ability to communicate her gratitude, in the midst of all that rapturous bliss. She managed wonderfully. All to say, we’re always there to be found, no matter the magnitude of emotions engaged in. A peaceful resonance lies beyond the surface to behold. There is the now, this very moment you’re reading these words. The one in which your heart can count on. The very same you can begin again, if only you could see that there is always a way through the door that appears closed. There’s an opening that simply eluded you in that particular perspective. Each of us has the power to decide which way we’d like it to be, going forward. We can realize how if we truly look after ourselves, how everything else will look after itself. We can notice that if we can completely and unconditionally allow others to be who they are in reality, they can then become more of what we’d love them to be.

We can always get out of our own way of love, leaving the way clear as we take steps into that certain unknown. This is the faith we’ve all recognized at times, when miraculously out of nowhere, we could see the answer, a person arrives, or our situations are altered. It is at these precise timings, we’re reminded of what we’ve always known in our hearts to be the truth, which is that something that we will never completely fathom does indeed exist. There truly is a Divine action taking care of us, when we feel we cannot. We can call it God, the Universe, or simply Energy. It is that experience that moves you beyond the dense stuck moments, flowing you into freedom of that apparent prison.

This path is always available to us. It’s only a shift of perspective away from your grasp. It has been inside you all along. If you click your heels together three times, it might be a means to remind yourself of the home you have to share. It is the only love that radiates from your being, as you nurture the unique and most special individual you are. You can change any of your directions NOW. Are you really completing yourself, or are you waiting on the one who will show you all the places you feel a lack of self love? He, She’s just not that into you. Are you just that into yourself?

We will be completed, have companionship, have all we need to be at peace, from the inside out. This will occur when the resistance of what is, is embraced and let go of. As I’ve heard it said, “Let go of everything you want and everything you don’t want. ” Ah, then Peace arrives, and you will have it all ! The knots are untied and the path is cleared to the home of your heart, where all the Love Is.
