Admit it…you talk to your animals!

Its okay, you’re in good company. Most everyone chats with their furry friends. What’s even better is that special voice you use to talk to your pets. But if only they could respond…What would Fido say? Would Fluffy complain about the change in her food? Birdie gripe about his dirty cage? Fortunately there are people who have the ability to communicate with animals – they are known as Animal Communicators, Pet Psychics or Pet Whisperers.

Pet Psychics are blessed with the gift to telepathically and empathically connect with animals. They connect best with our animal friends by knowing their species type, age, fur color and name. Pet Psychics can use their ability to help you learn about your pet’s likes and dislikes; understand his or her behavior patterns and emotions, and even connect with animal companions that have passed over.

While most of us can recognize when a pet is expressing happiness, fear, sadness or frustration – be it a wagging tail or a chewed up beloved high-heel, we can relate to these basics. On the other hand, a Pet Psychic will listen to your unique situation and offer a reading that will help with your question or concern. Developing a stronger bond with your pet through a Pet Psychic is helpful and powerful, but it should not replace regular veterinary care.

Do you have any pets? What do you think they’d tell you?

Whither your name is Tiger or you are born in the year of the Tiger it sure is going to be one sexy, fierce and fast paced year. For the rest of us born in one of the eleven other signs of the Chinese zodiac it will be a time of bravery, trying new things and prosperity. And the overall vibration of rebellion.

Before Buddha left this earth he called all the animals to him to say farewell and as the Ox stood first in line the little smart Rat ran right through his legs assuming his place in line as number one. The animals that came to bid ado were twelve, each of which is said to be the animal residing in your heart. The Buddha gave each animal their own year just for showing up, making up the twelve year cycle. Below is how I see each animal doing in the year of the Tiger.

Rat ~ lets face it; the Tiger would love nothing more than to take a bite out of the rat, so in order to survive, the Rat must be smart and one step ahead of the Tiger. In a positive way, the Tiger energy will give the Rat motivation and will have many people lusting for them throughout the year, both romantically and in the career realm.

Ox ~ if the sturdy Ox fell short last year in accomplishing goals the Ox will have an easier way to go in the year of the Tiger, being able to get done what needs to be done. For the Ox, the Tiger energy is be about motion and will make a way to break out of old patterns.

Tiger ~ well finally it is your turn to be empowered. Last year you took the bull by the horns and fared well. This year you are in your element and you need to embrace it. Setting your sights high will serve you well. This is your year for fun and getting your way – being upfront or pushy will serve you well in getting your share of life’s joys.

Rabbit/Cat ~ if you hop around or purr (which ever animal you relate to better), it is sure to be a year of excitement and beauty. Completing classes or finishing up work related projects will be very compelling giving you much to focus on. An air of independence surrounds you as you make ready for the next year which is going to be yours.

Dragon ~ stop brooding come out of the cave and play, this fast paced year holds lots of excitement for the sometimes physically lazy dragon. There will be lots to do with family and friends not just work. After all, my dear Dragon. you are the luckiest one out of all the zodiac, so play, dance, love; it is all good for you this year. Make sure you buy new shoes if you plan on exercising…

Snake ~ how the Snake loves to play with the Tiger – new clubs are formed as the Tiger gives inspiration to the Snake, the oldest soul in the zodiac. One of the Snakes greatest accomplishments this year will be coming together to help causes evolve. If it is up to the Snake this year no one will go without.

Horse ~ finally someone to run with… having fun getting involved with activities that have nothing to do with work will be somewhat amazing for my dear Horse. The Horse is a worker, a hard worker, but in the year of the Tiger there is a sense of fun that last year lacked. So from a lack luster year to one with sparkle and glitz, even working will be enjoyable and most profitable.

Sheep ~ if you are a single Sheep you will not be for long in the lovely year of the Tiger. This is the year where you have more than one person wanting to be with you. You will be sort after for you beauty and talent, giving way to creating new ideas for you to delve into. For the married or partnered Sheep, this is going to a year of bonding, deep conversations and making the relationship stronger than ever.

Monkey ~ oh boy! The Monkey is in all his glory this year. Just hop on top of the Tigers back and ride like the wind… having fun is never an issue for the humorous Monkey. The natural rebellion of the Tiger suits the Monkey well, as you move about with ease and manage any situation with grace and wit. Big bucks are within your grasp so keep your composure at all costs.

Rooster ~ run for the hills little bird – the big bad Tiger is going to be after you. This year it is important that you watch your back and make sure you do not tell everything to everyone. Yes we know the Rooster rules the roost yet stepping back and allowing others to have their way and say is very important this year to your well being. Remember put safety first.

Dog ~ young or old the Dog and the Tiger remain wonderful friends or lovers. The Dog will have a year full of inviting times with the very best of offerings. Even if you are not working this year you will find success with money in other ways. A time of mindful relaxing where vacations are plentiful. For the young Dogs a great year in school for the older Dogs it is a time where you can indeed learn some new tricks.

Boar/Pig ~ the year of the Tiger for the Boar/Pig is one of grandeur. All the elegance of the talented artistic Boar comes to light this year. If you are ready to publish your book, paint a masterpiece, develop a new idea, this is your time. You will need to push others out of the way so you get your share of opportunities. Being the last of the twelve to say good bye to The Buddha is a sign of your laid back nature and ability to protect from the back of the room. A quiet persona is not going to work for you this year, as the raging eleven before you also have equal opportunities. There might not be enough to go around so make sure you do not waste time along the way to your success.

May you all have a wonderful YEAR OF THE TIGER.

Adjectives to describe Tigers
Strengths: Active, Courageous, Strong, Independent, Enthusiastic, Considerate, Affectionate, Passionate, Daring, Brave. Intelligent.
Weaknesses: Careless at times. Can be Short tempered and quick to lash out. Often careless at times.

Born under the Tiger
People born in the Year of the Tiger have charming personalities, that attract popularity. With a strong competitive vein flowing through their bodies, Tigers love a challenge and often take the lead in tasks given. They have a ‘never give up’ attitude and although may become frustrated and cold at times, will prevail until the job is complete. If failure or criticism happens to cross a Tiger’s path, they may become thoroughly depressed. Success and happiness is their main goal.

Good Advice for Tigers
Although Tigers strength is an attribute, they must beware of the sting it can cause when tempers flare up. Tigers should learn to take things at a more relaxed pace sometimes, and go with the flow. With all the energy coursing through the Tiger, boredom may set in when things go lax. Try to set realistic goals and be patient when working with others to fulfill them.

Happy New Year Tigers!

The birthstone for December is: Turquoise.

Turquoise dates into our history over 6,000 years. References of this stone made by archeologist have it dating back to the first dynasty of Egypt.

In American history, Turquoise was used for headaches, fever, eye pain, poor sight and insect bites, just to name a few. In the case of stomache aches it was ground and mixed with water as a drink. Also is believed to alieviate anxiety, nervousness and relieves stress.

Turquoise is a sacred stone in both Oriental and Native American traditions and cultures. It is associated with the sky and is said to bring sky energy to earth. It can help speed the healing process and is known to be a Master Healer stone. This stone is also good for protection and grounding as well. Many people in these cultures wear turquoise daily for protection from harm and evil spirits. It is often strung as beads and worn on a necklace, combined wit other stones to enhance it’s properties as well as the other stones. Sometimes it is even carved into animals.

Turquoise is the planetary stone for Aquarius, Taurus and Sagittarius. Colors vary from Blue to Green and many shades in between. Wax is often infused to make the stone stronger and help it to hold together. Raw it is often chalky and full of cracks and pits.

If your birthday falls in December your birthstone is one of my favorites. Have a great birthday and a happy end to 2009.

Here is, I hope, a touching story of canine love and loyalty that transcends the passage of many years to bring a comforting childhood presence to my ailing mother.

In my teen years my mother endured a long and painful illness. One evening as she slept, after suffering through a particularly difficult day, I was talking in hushed tones with a couple of high school friends in the living room adjacent to her bedroom when I heard sounds of movement, soft rustlings, coming from her room.

“Do you hear that?” I whispered. “Sounds like an animal moving around in my mom‘s room.”

I heard the shuffling of paws on bare floor, the kind of sounds an animal makes as it stretches and settles down for the night.

My girlfriends, both natural clairvoyants, affirmed they sensed the spirit of a dog.

Quietly I peered past the open door into my mother’s darkened room. Her medication mercifully had her sleeping peacefully. In the shadows at the foot of the bed stretched out on the floor resting I saw a dog, a collie, cross marked with darker spots amid white and russet colors.

The emanations I felt were of a good-natured enduring and trusted friend keeping watch over a loved one. I knew all would be well with my mother that night.

The next morning over tea, with sunshine streaming in her window, my mother rested and cheerfully listened to the description of her canine spirit guardian.

“My goodness, that’s Laddie! Laddie was my first dog on the farm when I was a girl growing up!”

My mother had an enduring remembrance and love for family and those who had shared in the pioneering years of her youth. It was not uncommon for her to be thinking of an old friend and have them call or show up at the door or on sadder occasions see their obituary appear in the paper. On several occasions, at times of crisis during her illness, she reported departed loved ones standing at her bedside.

In her late years, my youth far behind me and my children grown, I sat with my mother during another illness. We had been talking quietly, she told me about a dream she had of my cousin who had passed the previous year, and how beautiful she was in a lovely dress glowing with light.

And then during a relaxed lull in the conversation the end table lamp dimmed, flickered and went out. Even though this was unlike any other I had witness I assumed the bulb had burnt out. And then after a few minutes it flashed on again.

“That’s Judy,” she said. “That’s your cousin.”

Later upon inspection I found the lamp, which had not previously or since turned off and on by itself, was in good condition with no loose bulb or poor connection. Shortly after that evening, sisters of my deceased cousin came to visit. They too had witnessed lights turning on and off a visitation from their loved one.

I left out the part where my mom said my cousin was waiting for her… and she was. Mom passed after a short, but devastating illness within a few weeks. And the loved ones during those early illnesses were waiting, just in case, because she was so close to passing at that time.

But the dog that was pure gentleness calm and caring, a healing beneficence, canine love and loyalty transcending time and space.

Thank you for all that you do.

Many blessings Yvanya

Scorpio’s long for new vistas and are always looking for new challenges. They can take on many at the same time. They have very good instincts, very intuitive and are very good at keeping secrets.

Interesting…
One of the strangest patterns in astrology is the death of a relative in the family within either a year before or a year after the birth of a Scorpio. When a Scorpio dies, there will be a birth in the family within a year before or after. It happens at least ninety-five percent of the time.

An In Depth Look at Scorpio’s

Those born between Oct 23rd and Oct 31st:

These are the Scorpio’s that are the most loyal and dependable. They are capable of being influenced by others around them.
Those born between Nov 1st and 10th:

Are more friendly and chatty and therefore a little less tactful. They are the nicest of the Scorpio types. But they can be hurt more easily than the other types of Scorpio’s. Although all Scorpio’s are very sensitive.

Those born between Nov 11th and Nov 22nd:

These Scorpio’s are the most ambitious. Ambition knows no bounds for them.
The constitution of these types of Scorpio’s especially, is the strongest. It is hard for them to have to give in even when undergoing great strain. One might compare them to a power station; they appear to generate a little extra energy just at the last minute, when most needed to finish the job.

The Harvest Moon of September is the Moon which we associate with the coming of the Autumn, in the West of the Wheel of the Year which many Native Americans call the Medicine Wheel.

According to Cherokee beliefs, the guardian of the West of the Medicine Wheel is ‘Yona’, the Grizzly Bear. When the Grizzly hibernates, he does not sleep but rather he dreams; dreams of where the most succulent salmon are to feed him, the juiciest berries are to satisfy his cravings for sweet things, and where the herbs are that will heal him should he take ill. To our people, Bear is the healer, and he heals for the most part by the lesson of introspection. He turns within himself to find greater connection with his world and Creator, and indeed this is what he is encouraging us to do at this time when Nature is turning within, ready for the great slumber of the winter.

Grizzly asks us to seek out the sweetness of the truth, and to remember that each of us have our own truth. Grizzly teaches us not to follow others, nor listen to their truth; one of the personal lessons of our Earth walk is to find our own path to the truth, which is as diverse and unique as we are. The fact that we call to this Truth and seek it means that we are beginning to seek our life goals. Our life goals reside in the West also, so this lesson is doubly strong if you were born at this time of the year.

To accomplish the art of discovering our goals and dreams, it is necessary to use introspection. It might be worded as ‘know thyself.’ If we believe that in life there are many questions to be answered, then we must also believe in ourselves to find the answers within, for the solution always sleeps in the same cave as the question.

Each and every being has the capacity to quiet the spirit and still the mind. Unfortunately, as 21st Century humans, we have lost our way and give little or no time to these moments of stillness that are so valuable to our spiritual health. Perhaps that is indeed where we are going wrong… My people refer to this quiet time as ‘the dreamtime,’ where the illusion of the physical reality yields to the vastness of the whole and eternity. It is here we still ourselves in ‘tohido’ or a ‘zenlike’ peace. It is here we seek counsel with our Higher Selves and the spirits that are around us. It is here we ask for advice regarding alternative pathways that lead to our goals. This is the power and the healing of Bear.

At this time of year, Grizzly is asking us to take his hand, and to learn to meditate as medicine for our Spirit. We are not beings of separation; the mind and body and spirit are not disjointed entities but rather all part of us as a whole being. Bear Medicine is one of wholeness, healing the mind and the body and the spirit.

Take Bear’s hand and walk the path of silence for a time. Calm the internal chatter. Reach the place of your rite of passage. Find your way to the dreamtime and see your own truth shown to you in all its beauty. Making your goals your realities is the strength of Grizzly.

This time of year falls under the watchful eye of the Wolf and under the Moon of the Little Black Bear. The plant totem of this time of year is the Violet, and the mineral totem is Amethyst. It would be beneficial to wear Amethyst, as it enables us to connect deeper with our inner spirits and teaches us where to find the answers within our own being.

People born under this Moon have a wonderful attention to detail and are meticulous in their work, but they must remember that not everyone shares this enthusiasm. Others may find Black Bear Moon people harsh and critical, when in reality they just want things done right. I’m a Black Bear Moon child, so I understand this lesson all too well! We must remember that our way is not the only way; do we want to be happy or do we want to be right?! There is a genuine kindness and desire to help around Black Bear Moon people. However, we must be mindful not to let upsets stress us, for this can cause an upset to our entire system, particularly the digestive organs.

One of the biggest lessons for this Moon is to remember that we are all divine children of the Universe. We are who, and where, and what we are for a divine reason. Realizing this is our first step towards contentment; for true contentment is not something we have or something we do but it is a state of mind, something we CHOOSE to be. Be here now. Be fully in the moment. Remember that every moment has a gift and a beauty. When we choose to be content rather than always looking for more, the elusive ‘more’ will always find us. When we are fully in the moment there is no room for boredom or anxiety for we are content just to be, and our spirit is full with whatever Creator gives us. Other people and exterior situations cannot make us happy; that comes from within ourselves and it is only when we realize this and take complete control of our lives can we truly ever be content. My words echo back to my own ears…
