I love to mine and dig for stones and crystals in my spare time and have been on quite a number of mining experiences. My other favorite pastime is ghost hunting with a Regional chapter of paranormal investigation group where I have been afforded the opportunity to combine my psychic gifts with the tools of the trade as we explored paranormal phenomenon and reported hauntings. The birthstone for June is Alexandrite. Discovered in 1834 in the Ural Mountains of Russia this gem stone was named to honor Alexander II who was at the time of discovery, the future Tsar of Russia. At first it was thought to be a emerald, however due to it’s ability to change color in different lighting it was soon realized to be something unique.
