A few years ago while celebrating Christmas at one of my brothers home, we were standing outside looking at the lights in the neighborhood when my Godson asked me how come he can’t see the spirits of my Father and Mother when he wants to so  much. He is 28 years old and feels like they aren’t hearing him or maybe they aren’t really there.

So I said, you can’t see them but they are there and I can prove it! At the time, I was seeing my Dad who crossed in 79 and he was smiling at me with that smile that says it’s show and tell time!  I could see what my Dad was doing; he was going to cause one light to flicker in the electric candles in their window display! So I told my Godson, watch what your Grandfather is going to do for you to prove he’s there. I said, watch those light…they started flickering. 

His happy tears and hug were so heartfelt! And then he asked, “Is it scary to live in your world Aunt Mazie?”

I thought about that statement a lot throughout the years. No is the answer but certainly I live in a world that I see and feel, hear and smell the roses of today, past and the future roses to come, My life has been a different one. I embrace all its weirdness with a wonder and a curiosity of an explorer on a journey, a never ending quest  through many lifetimes of knowledge gained and wisdom learned.  

So please remember even if you can’t see your loved ones they can see you. Honor them by being good & respectful, as if they were right in front of you. Remember all that they have taught you so that you can find your true self, be the light of love and that is what you will feel. Peace to all, feel those good vibes and enjoy the blessings of the season.

Halloween may have passed, but we always appreciate a good spirit story! Psychic Dyna shares her own personal Hawaiian Haunting tale.

I was studying Chinese medicine and herb logy on Oahu, living in an ohana, an apartment within a house.  It was a large house on Frank Street with a magnificent view of downtown Honolulu.  I loved it because the house had warmth; a sense to it I couldn’t quite identify but my spirit loved the place.  It was October and I was deep into herbal studies when bowls on my coffee table started to move in their own.  Being psychic I didn’t think too much of that.  My music, some new age jazzy stuff which was excellent to study by went quiet.  Suddenly, I felt compelled to look up and there he was… the tallest man, brown in coloring, handsome and untamed.  He wore the red and yellow feathers of the Ali’i, a royal Hawaiian.  There was a problem.  He walked right through my living room wall and stood there staring at me.  Then he just disappeared, poof he was gone.   I was so startled I knocked over the coffee table moving away and spilled my mango juice all over my herbal drawing.

Not knowing what to think of this I spoke with Fish, a surfer friend who also lived in the house.  He mentioned that the house had been built on an old Hawaiian spiritual spot, and that apparently a small temple had existed there at the entrance t o the valley a long time ago. 

Over the months that passed, I got to know the tall spirit who frequently walked through the walls, doors, windows and moved things around.  At that time I could not hear his name so I called him Ali’i Keanu.  He would move dishes and books on the coffee table when guests came to freak them out, and I would admonish him and ask him to stop scaring my guests.  He always ceased and behaved for the visits.  For a ghost he was extremely polite.  I think it was due to the royal upbringing.  One night I was thinking what happened to this soul who stayed in this place and fell asleep studying.  I dreamed the following: 

The tall royal warrior came to me in my dream and said, “I am Ali’i and I will show you what happened to me since you want to know.”  

Then he showed me what happened.  He had made a trek to the temple to pray and leave an offering when suddenly he was attacked from behind and stabbed with a large bone knife.  It slipped through his ribs, piercing his heart and he died instantly.  It was bloody and quick. Since then he comes to check on the area and the land.  When I woke I knew that nothing could harm me in this place, that I was welcome to stay and that he definitely would continue to startle guests with his ghostly sense of humor. I earned honors in my studies and just before leaving the islands, tried to see if he wanted to be helped to the other side and not be stuck being a ghost.  In my dream, Ali’I Keanu  laughed and told me that he was definitely not stuck. “I am Ali’I, and Hawaiian’s walk easily in both worlds so I was not stuck in between.”  He thanked me for caring to help, but it was necessary.  When I woke, it was time to leave and I bowed, thanked him for guarding me and keeping me safe while I living and studied here.  There he was, standing in the wall again.  He nodded his acknowledgement and I said farewell with an aloha, until we meet on the other side.

In our modern world we think of ghosts as “scary” or “spooky” but how many times do we really think about the connection between ghosts, the afterlife and our own mortality?   I am a Vala which is to say a wise woman or medicine woman in the ancient traditions of Northern Europe (ie Vikings). Northern European (England, Germany, Scandinavia).

I have a few observations about the based on my years as a medium and on the lore of the Vikings and Northern Europeans. That lore is a lengthy, complex yet fascinating subject that is worthy of more than a few paragraphs.

1. Ghosts are people without bodies

2. Most people when they die don’t “go” anywhere for the most part. This is how incarnate people perceive what happens when the soul leaves the body. MOST Ghosts stay “earth bound” in order to aid and protect their families and friends. Thus the global traditions of grave offerings, mummification etc.

3. Ghosts do on rare occasion go to a non-earth based place.

4. If a ghost leaves the “physical plane” it is usually due to the person being forgotten about. I see it as the ghost has gone to sleep.

5. Suicides cases DO go to hell; the hell is of their own making. They stay stuck in the state of mind they were in when they died. THAT is their hell ditto for criminals etc. They also get ostracized just s in life

6. Ghosts cannot do anything more  than could when they were alive. They CAN do some things they could not before and something they can’t. They do not have “super powers”.

7. The basic personality stays the same. If Uncle Joe was not smart when he was alive, he won’t be too smart as ghost. By the same token, when one becomes a ghost they often times see themselves more clearly and are in an enlightened state.

8. It is VERY crucial to remember our family and friends who have died. When we forget about they no longer want to be with us. Just as in life no one likes being ignored.

9. Valhalla or Heaven is more of a state of consciousness than an actual place.

10. Ghosts often work to make up for the wrongs they did in life.

The Pitcher

It would seem that not only people but inanimate objects can be touched by various energies.   As soon as my friend, Tammy returned from vacation with her family, she called me to come by.  Tammy loved antiques, but she was the type of person who used the antique piece she purchased.  If it was a chair it was sat in, if it was a book it was read, and if it was a table it was put to good use.  

No sooner had I stepped into her house than she carried out her newest find.   An old white pitcher with hand-painted blue flowers on the side.  For some reason I took an instant dislike to it.  Tammy could see the look on my face and she admitted, “it’s really not that pretty, is it?”   “No!” I answered her.  She nodded and started to walk away.    “I was so sorry as soon as I bought it, but that’s not even the point.”  She motioned me to follow her into the kitchen.

She went to the refrigerator and poured a small glass of milk and had me sip it.  It was fresh and tasted fine.  Then she poured the milk from the glass into the pitcher and back into the glass.  She handed me the glass.  Well, I didn’t have to taste the milk to know it had turned.  It smelled very bad.

“It must have a metal base under the china or something that can turn milk sour,” I offered.  “Well, I don’t know about that,” she told me and then she said, “wait ’til you see this!”   She washed the pitcher and dried it.  Then, she ran some fresh water into it and took some bright yellow gladiolus from a vase and stuck them in the pitcher.  Instantly, right before our eyes, the flowers started withering and drooping over one by one.  She picked up the pitcher and asked me if I wanted it for free!  I told her no thanks!

A little while later I asked her what she had done with the pitcher.  She got a strange smile on her face and whispered I gave it away to my church for their annual white elephant sale.  

This of course beckons the warning – always be careful when buying antiques, you just might be getting much more than you think!

Did you always feel as though you had special abilities or did it sneak up on you?

I have been gifted since I was a child.  My first sighting of spirit happened at age 7 when my grandmother who had just passed away appeared to me.  My deceased grandmother wanted to let my mother know that she was okay. 

I suppressed my gifts after being chided in middle school for being “different” and “seeing spirit.”  After my near death experience, my gifts reemerged stronger and in full force.

When you connect with someone, what sensations do you get?

I basically use all my five senses plus the unseen ones.  The ones termed extrasensory perception. 

What do you tell your clients who are disappointed with a particular piece of information?

I tell the client diplomatically and with empathy.  I try to tell the client that it is better to know now rather than later.  If they are asking me a question in the first place, they themselves have some clue using their own intuition that something is not quite right. 

Is Halloween a special holiday for you, due to the veil between this world and the spirit world being at its thinnest?

Halloween is like any other holiday in my opinion.  Yes the veil between this world and the spirit realm is thin.  I have had more spirits appear to me during this time than any other.

During the month of October, do you feel more connected with Spirit?

I feel connected to Spirit most of the time.  I do not need a particular month to help that special connection.

I (Psychic Bella Skye) have been doing readings most part of my life and occasionaly a client will come to me asking for assistance to help move out of their home a  poltergiest or entity. This is a true story and actualy happened.  I will not mention any names but I will speak of area that this actualy occured.

My client, that I have been  doing readings for, for quite some time, decided to celebrate her birthday with two other friends at a ghost town.  It is an old town and much of the history behind it, is of it being an old copper mining town.   There is a hotel there, called the Jerome grand hotel and there is much paranormal activity that takes place there. 

I will call my friend Sandy.  Sandy and her two girlfriends decided to buy equipment to pick up sounds, images and atmospheric change.  She explained to me, that it was mostly for fun and they did not really expect much of anything.  Little did they know what they were going to pick up on camera.  They had dinner and with dinner they decided to indulge in some alcoholic beverages.  When doing this, it can enable and make you more vulnerable to any spirit attaching itself.

So Sandy and her friends, explored, tested and  took pictures of the surrounding area but did not feel anything unusual or out of place.  They laughed off the experience and went home.  Once Sandy got home, she hooked up her special camera to be able to look at the pictues,  and in one of the pictures was the image of a man, large in build with a mocking expression on his face.  From that night on, she was repeatedly woken up by feeling something or someone sitting on the edge of her bed.  She would wake up and see nothing.  This progressed to a level of actual physical touch, where she was feeling a poke on her chest as if someone was jabbing her trying to get her attention. 

Sandy did not waste any time in calling me. She emailed the picture to me and it gave me chills that I had not ever experienced before.  I read into the image and felt that this man was very abusive to woman and did not have respect for the female.  He was basicly a pig and woman were just to be used.  By the clothes on this individual, I could sense that it was not too long ago that he had been alive.  He was a laborer, someone that did not have a prestigious career or job.
 I gave her some advice on how to clear and ask for protection.  I explained to her to ask for Arch Angel Michael to come into her home and to her for protection.  I told her to buy sage and walk through the house, speaking outloud for all heavy or negative energy to leave and ask for angels of love and light to come through.�

She did this, but to no avail, he kept coming back.  She lives far away from me so I was unable to go into her home to help her.  I then suggested for her to find a medicine man/shaman.  She did find a Dine, native american and he helped her to remove this spirit from her home.  It worked and she is no longer harrased by this spirit/entity.  When we delve into the paranormal, it is so important to be sober, and to put into perspective that it is something to take very seriously.  It is not a game or to be taken lightly.  Our worlds are multi-dimensional.  It is ever changing and ever moving.  Our future is ever changing and ever moving and we are certainly not alone.  A picture of this entity is shown.

For twenty five years I have been doing crossover readings for the public. I began having angel visitations when I was about 7 years old. They would talk to me in the woods where I played. I loved the woods. I always felt save there. I always knew they were around protecting me.  Was it angels or spirits???   Over my life I have had to learn how to discern the difference.

I do in fact believe there are good spirits and evil ones as well. Heck we can see that manifested in the human family on the physical plane. The old timers would say that one has a “mean streak” , the devil incarnate. Watch out for that one, they have a bad spirit. Leave her or him alone. Stay away from that one. You are asking for trouble. With time and maturity as humans we begin to learn to discern for ourselves whether someone is of good spirit or confused, or of bad spirit.

All things that happen on our physical dimension also happen on the other dimensions. Life is highly multi-dimensional. As we awaken to ourselves first, then to the world we begin to recognize the other dimensions or at least have glimpses into the other levels. It is a natural progressive process as we grow spiritually. It is part of our human spirit awakening.

When people call for a crossover reading. I first have to wade through their fear and hold them with a loving spirit as I help them travel to other dimensions. They are always happy to talk to the spirits of their passed families or friends. They are also a little scared. Our families love to talk with us. They enjoy letting us know they are there to love and help us. Sometimes they fuss with us. Or say things to get our attention if they feel we are heading the wrong way. They know that life is a mixture of predestined events and our free will choices. If they think we are goofing up or about too, they will tell us. Crossover readings are a great expression of love.

In order to believe in ghosts, we must first believe in the struggle between the dark and light. Again there are spirits who through free will choice stay in our dimension. Some stay because of quilt, shame or fear. They are afraid to face God. Others stay behind to help a love one. Others are selfish and refuse to give up their hold on the physical life. All of these possibilities exist in that dimension. Some are happy , sad, mad. Some are downright mean or demons. Always remember that God is stronger than Satan or any ghost. When frightened pray and rebuke them. God is the stronger force and always will be. Lucifer is just a confused fallen angel. I sometimes pray for his soul. What torment.

Many of us have had wonderful experiences and protection from the angels that God has given us to help us on our journey. All of us have had things happen that are beyond consequences. Angels are God helpers. All religions speak of them, have miraculous stories about what the angels have done throughout human history. They are alive and well today still helping us in our needs. They guide, protect, stir us ever so gently on our way. I love and am thankful for the angels. God and angels have saved my life more than once, after I have made a faulty choice on my road. They always direct us back to the high path, if we seek the high path.

So, it is our responsibility to take responsibility for our life choices, learn to discern the beings from this and the other dimensions. Listen to them. Watch look and listen. If we move along our life paths we learn what works and what does not work. Always remember that we are not alone on our journey. God has given us many helpers from the various dimensions to assist and make our life better. Flow with it. Learn your lessons as you go. Help another along the way, just as the angels, spirits and yes ghosts help us. We are in this together.

When people have lost a true love they feel abandonded, alone, and  forlorn. Remebrances for the dead can even be found in the Old Testament in the book of Macabees (a book that was edited out of the King James bible) Mel Gibson is even working on a movie about the Macabees.                     

What is it that we in modern western society have forgotten? That ghosts are people with out physical bodies. That they still love those who are alive and wish to help and aid their loved ones. They really don’t “go” anywhere most of the time. However just as when they were incarnate, they need to know know they are loved and appreciated. Just as any incarnate  person, if they are not needed or wanted  they will go to “sleep” and lose touch with the world. 

We can help those we love who have died by remebering them often.There are amany wyas we can do this. Keeping a plant in memory of them either in a pot or in our yards helps them  to stay anchored to the physical realm. Offering a toast to them on their birthday or some other special day.  Lighting candles at church or having masses said for them as the Catholics do. Making an altar for them as many  Buddists and Asians do. Telling their descandants true postive things about them. Even just talking to them telling them how we feel asking them for their aid will help them to be with us more stongly. We all want to be needed and know that we are loved, the same applies to ghosts.                          

The saddest thing is when we forget about them . The only thing worse is when we try to make them  “cross over” because what we are telling them in essence is that we do not want them to be a part of our lives. The majority of ancient cosmologies (Asia,parts of  Northern Europe,the Americas, Africa) believed that the dead usually did not leave us  to go another place. Instead they stay and help us. Peter Akroyd Dan Akroyd’s father has a wonderful book on this subject. The Akroyd’s have been spiritualists since the 1800′s and Ghost Busters was inspired by Dan Akroyd’s childhood experiences living with ghosts.

Many times in my professional mediumship  practice I have talked with people who have lost a true love. Yet their love was standing right next to them. I helped them to understand the nature of physical death more clearly and realize that their love didn’t leave them at all. This in essence ‘links” them once again to their lost love and they can again feel that love that has been missing from their lives.

At what age did you realize you had Psychic abilities & what were they?

I never knew I was psychic till I went to the Edgar Cayce foundation and it felt like I had come home. I took some intuition development classes, I teach them now, and found out  that I was very psychic. I found out that I connect through your energy field of my client’s , the information comes through my hand , as if my hand was telling me a story, I learned to refine  it later by inviting guides and angels to talk to me , answer my questions.

Do you have a particularly interesting/amazing story where you helped a customer/friend/family member using your psychic abilities? 

I am also a massage therapy instructor, and remember helping a client while giving her a massage. She told me that she had been disturbed every night for 5 years by some spirit, this spirit was scaring her cat, turning on lights, opening and closing doors. She had not had a good night’s sleep for 5 years. She had had someone over for exorcism, medicine men tried to help and more and still the spirit remained. I was not ready for this, I had figured this was just going to be a massage, so I asked for help, guidance.
I felt directed in asking questions, while giving the massage, she explained that 5 years earlier a friend, room mate invited spirit in and she was having great results, so my client did the same, the only problem was she was not ready for it.

At some point in our conversations I was inspired to recommend that she ask this spirit to leave in the same way she had invited it in. I spoke with my client a few weeks later and she told me she did what I suggested and her spirit never came back. It was a great feeling to be able to help my client regain her peaceful life.
Is there a way for someone to ‘sharpen’ there psychic abilities?

If someone wanted to sharpen their psychic abilities, I would certainly recommend the training at the A.R. To help someone who is doubtful about psychics, I would explain how we are all made of energy and everything about us is in our energy field, everything from our past , present and future are present as a vibration. By quieting my mind, I can feel the vibration and listen to what it says. When it comes to the future, the vibration expresses what you are creating through your thoughts and feeling. Edgar Cayce said that everything in a reading is in the realm of possibilities. You can always change the future by changing your thoughts and feelings. This is why getting a reading can be so helpful. By looking at what is coming in your future, you can decide what you want and what you don’t want and change the outcome. It takes practice, focus and meditation to do this with ease!
