About: Hi, my name is Moira. I've been with Psychic Source for since October 26, 2005. As one of the Astrologers with Psychic Source I will occasionally write about the planetary dance. Dates are especially significant to me and I look to the stars and the interactions of the planets when I am making major decisions. On my first day with Psychic Source, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good luck entered Scorpio and my eighth house of partnerships. The celestial connections did not disappoint! Psychic Source continues to be a wonderful family and all around great place to BE!
When I'm not "on the line" I enjoy a quite life. My husband and I live on a small farmette with our horses, dogs, and cat. Our home is at the end of a long (half mile) lane. One of my passions is gardening and my healing garden includes favorite perennials, herbs, and vegetables. Like many gardeners, I love to cook and I especially enjoy receiving your recipes!
Those who know me well would describe me as a book worm. It's true I love to read, anything and everything. Long before I began to use my psychic ability professionally, I read everything I could find about Astrology, higher metaphysics, and history. One of my "Blog goals" is to share insights and book reviews with you from time to time.
The Psychic Source Blog is the place to keep in touch and share your ideas. I like to think of Blogging as the virtual Salon; a gathering or an ongoing conversation with the purpose of pleasing and educating. I feel very blessed to have connected with many of you through phone readings and I hope to hear from you via the blog soon!See Authors Posts (15)
Those born under the horoscope sign Gemini are an Air sign and the natives are friendly and breezy. My mother was a Gemini and meal preparations were social gatherings; a time to talk and cook and catch up on the news. Want to please a Gemini palate? Serve a variety of light foods. Fresh flavors like lemon, basil, saffron, ginger, parsley and bright colors all appeal to the Gemini palate. Party food is the Gemini forté.
Keep it light and easy and make a Gemini happy by serving this light and easy summer party salad: Lemony Summer Orzo Salad
Ingredients:
- 1 pound orzo pasta
- 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 Lemons (zest and juice)
- 2 cups fresh arugula
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
|
1/2 cup dried cherries
1/4 cup toasted pine nuts
Sea Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
3/4 cup fresh mozzarella cheese cut into small pieces
|
Directions:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add the pasta and cook until tender but still firm to the bite, stirring occasionally, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain pasta and rinse with very cold water to stop the cooking process. Put the pasta on a large flat platter or cookie sheet. Drizzle the pasta with 3 tablespoons olive oil, toss, spread out, and set aside to cool.
While the pasta is cooling, toast the pine nuts in a dry non stick fry pan on medium heat, watching them carefully and remove from heat as soon as they begin to turn light brown. Set aside.
Chop or tear arugula and basil leaves into bite size pieces. Zest and juice 3 large lemons,
Once the orzo is cool, transfer to a large serving bowl. Add the rest of the olive oil and arugula, basil, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried cherries, toasted pine nuts and mozzarella cheese; Salt and Pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine. Serve and enjoy!

Bravo! Moira, I love your ideas and recipes! what type of wine would you serve? I like: Poilly fume, Soave, and, for after dinner, artichoke liquer! Cynar, I know,it sounds weird, however it has lots of herbs and bitters in it, kind of like campari, and good for the digestion! now, if you could invite anybody from Tinseltown, who would you invite? I would choose: Woody Allen, Coppola, who has some great wines out, and Robert Altman–I wonder what they would order?

Thank so much Maxine and Diane. Diane those are wonderful suggestions! Often,I like to serve some Pellegrino with pomegranate seeds in a tall glass(especially at lunch). As for my dream guest: Robert Altman! wouldn’t that be amazing!
Please, feel free to send your favorite recipes along too
Here’s to happy dining, Moira
