About: Hi, my name is Moira. I've been with Psychic Source for since October 26, 2005. As one of the Astrologers with Psychic Source I will occasionally write about the planetary dance. Dates are especially significant to me and I look to the stars and the interactions of the planets when I am making major decisions. On my first day with Psychic Source, Jupiter, the planet of expansion and good luck entered Scorpio and my eighth house of partnerships. The celestial connections did not disappoint! Psychic Source continues to be a wonderful family and all around great place to BE! When I'm not "on the line" I enjoy a quite life. My husband and I live on a small farmette with our horses, dogs, and cat. Our home is at the end of a long (half mile) lane. One of my passions is gardening and my healing garden includes favorite perennials, herbs, and vegetables. Like many gardeners, I love to cook and I especially enjoy receiving your recipes! Those who know me well would describe me as a book worm. It's true I love to read, anything and everything. Long before I began to use my psychic ability professionally, I read everything I could find about Astrology, higher metaphysics, and history. I am happy to share with you a new ongoing series of posts I call Dinner With The Stars. I am excited to offer you tasty recipes designed to complement your Zodiac sign. I hope you have fun preparing and enjoying these delightful dishes.

Taurus is ruled by Venus. Those born under this horoscope sign enjoy luxurious restaurants and wonderful meals prepared at home with the family. A fixed Earth sign, Taurus is one of the true gourmet signs of the Zodiac. Organic ingredients, strong flavors and beautiful dinnerware are often found in the Taurus home. A favorite recipe of my Taurus BFF is the classic Chicken Marbella from Silver Palate Cookbook.

Chicken Marbella

The overnight marination is essential to the moistness of the finished product: The chicken keeps and even improves over several days of refrigeration; it travels well and makes excellent picnic fare.

1⁄2 cup olive oil
1⁄2 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup pitted prunes
1⁄2 cup pitted Spanish green olives
1⁄2 cup capers with a bit of juice
6 bay leaves
1 head of garlic, peeled and finely puréed
1⁄4 cup dried oregano
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
4 chickens (2 1⁄2 pounds each), quartered
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup dry white wine
1⁄4 cup fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley or fresh cilantro, finely chopped

1. Combine the olive oil, vinegar, prunes, olives, capers and juice, bay leaves, garlic, oregano, and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken and stir to coat. Cover the bowl and refrigerate overnight.

2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.

3. Arrange the chicken in a single layer in one or two large, shallow baking pans and spoon the marinade over it evenly. Sprinkle the chicken pieces with the brown sugar and pour the white wine around them.

4. Bake, basting frequently with the pan juices, until the thigh pieces yield clear yellow (rather than pink) juice when pricked with a fork, 50 minutes to 1 hour.

5. With a slotted spoon, transfer the chicken, prunes, olives, and capers to a serving platter. Moisten with a few spoonfuls of the pan juices and sprinkle generously with the parsley or cilantro. Pass the remaining pan juices in a sauceboat.

Note: To serve Chicken Marbella cold, cool to room temperature in the cooking juices before transferring the pieces to a serving platter. If the chicken has been covered and refrigerated, reheat it in the juices, then allow it to come to room temperature before serving. Spoon some of the reserved juice over the chicken.

That is so neat! Now im wondering if there really is a recipe for me as a Pisces that is not a “drive thru” thing. I’ll be tempted to cook now Moria ! They will all faint around here. Don’t worry Ill tell everyone to give you the credit. Ill be waiting for the Pisces recipe!

Moira, what a fun outrageous idea! I believe if twelve different people of the zodiac were dining together, this would happen! the capricorn would show up on time, and want to order things not too expensive, and traditional fare, the cancer would come hungry, and would like grande portions, the sagittarius, would arrive late, and would order spicy italian and bring a needy friend along-they would refuse to wait long for their order, the gemmini would also arrive late, talking on their cell phone, the leo, and libra, would order in grande style, and spare no expense,the virgo would want to order healthy fare, the aires would like to order fun food and would put out a fire, in case the libra and the flambe had a moment, the picses and scorpio, would like to order sexy food and lots of wine, and would slip some powder or potion into an enemys food,the taurus would order french food, very gourmand,the aquarius, would order offbeat food, and talk alot about politics. when the check comes, the sagiittarius, picses, scorpio, and gemmini, would already be gone! and the leo would end up paying the bill
