Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree

I can think of so many precious times with my mother even though I didn’t live with her but one or two years. Here is one that assisted me and motivated me for the work I do today.

My mom, who works third shifts taking care of people and also taking care of her husband, mother, brother, younger daughter and assists with her husband’s family,  was bone tired speaking to me one day. This wasn’t out of the ordinary. She asked me why do I like working so much and how come I can get paid to assist others when everyone is intuitive and has psychic senses (being able to sense anything outside of just the physical)?

I laughed… knowing that I had a very, very intuitive family. My family was suppppper in-tune and from many different cultures (we still are, for so many generations). My mom always sees visions and has information coming in for people she meets (and even our family). She was also a bit frustrated with her situation just for that moment and couldn’t believe I get paid to assist others doing it because she works a job that is so hard and draining and she assists others but never knew she could live doing what she was born to do. She also lives in a place where it’s unheard of to work for anything but corporations so really was inquisitive.

I explained very lovingly to her that I follow my calling. I don’t let people put limitations on my gifts and I follow what God has for me.  I don’t attach to the outcome. I allow myself to be the vessel and remember it’s not me… it’s what is working through me. Very simple.

She smiled.  Right then she remembered when people ask her why she assists so many and does it so willingly a similar response came out of her mouth. The apple doesn’t fall from the tree… and I am grateful!
