Journaling for Success: Part 3

Welcome back! This is the last piece of this segment on creating more positivity and clarity in your life. Now that you have learned how to identify emotional baggage in your life and use positive affirmations to help eliminate the baggage and challenges, here’s a journaling technique that will bring all of your efforts together.
I have found that this works best either first thing in the morning or the just before going to bed.
- Take a piece of paper and draw a line vertically down the middle. On the left hand side write the numbers 1 through ten.
- By the number 1 write down the affirmation on the left hand side of the paper.
- On the right hand side of paper take a moment to see if your mind comes up with any objections to the affirmation such as: “But what about my feelings of unworthiness?” “What if I have too much prosperity and people get jealous of me?” “But I don’t know what I truly need, is a desire a need?” “This is stupid it will never work!”… etc.
- Then take a deep breath to clear your mind and write the affirmation again by the number 2. Again, take a short break and see if there are any more objections.
- Continue with this process until your mind is somewhat quiet and write the affirmation another ten times and put your journal away for the day.
- Before going to bed write down the good things that have been brought into your life throughout that day and identify the areas where you still want to attract positivity, and write or say the affirmation again, then go to sleep.
You’ve made it! If you practice this technique, you’ll see results. You just need to be aware of what it is you truly want in your life. Once you have made the decision to free yourself of the emotional jet lag and make change, you have regained your power!
Just a few things to remember, while you may have good intentions, you can’t do this process for anyone else or do an affirmation to change someone else in your life, but feel free to share the technique with them. Through your working on your energy flow becoming more peaceful you will identify what baggage you have to let go of and others will also start to become more peaceful. The whole process can’t be written in a short article; however, I wanted to offer something for my wonderful customers, to magnetize more goodness to their lives despite the negative headlines that are screaming at us through our televisions and newspapers!!
