We support the practice by sending books and writing letters to prisoners who wish to know about Buddhism or are Buddhist and have no one to share the practice with. Writing to others about life experiences is a joy bringing me closer to my spiritual center. Business and the arts took center stage in my younger life. My father being the founder of Snapple gave me strong roots in the business world. I became a make-up artist and hairstylist with a career spanning twenty years both in New York and California. This gave me a great education in that i got to talk to many different people everyday in-depth reinforcing my psychic knowledge base. I lived on both coasts and for seventeen years shared ownership of a kennel allowing me to make deep connections with animals. Holy cow! Mercury retrograde is coming up fast, with the holidays streaming right along! What does this all mean in the scheme of things…

Mercury, the planet of communication, dead batteries and introspective thinking will be bringing in New Years Eve with a bang! 

Mercury retrograde is about what you think and with New Year resolutions being plotted out every day as the year comes to an end it is best to focus on what you really, really want for the New Year. This energy can be a constant mind-changer; men and women alike will be pondering what they want for the New Year, unable to settle in on one thing or one mindset. Details will not fall to the wayside however as you think about life in the year 2010, yet it is important to keep track of your plans via writing them down so after the Mercury retrograde you can reassess the details of your plans.

There will be moves for many as the New Year starts out, yet it is best to wait for Mercury to go direct before you start to load the moving van. It is a time of independence and people will be spending less, but getting more as friends and family will chime in to help with moves.

We are also entering into a three cycle, universally, and this gives us the energy of social gatherings, yet with the Mercury retrograde happening while we are bringing in New Year’s Eve, it might be a good time to settle in with your loved ones at home, enjoying the love and festive activities in a safe and comfortable environment. 

Lights that don’t stay on, bad reception on communication devices, cars that don’t start are only a few of the glitches that could be encountered during this time. If you have loved ones overseas or out of state do not get frustrated with the communication; it is not them, it’s the devices that are affected.

A little flip flopping may occur on lovers lane – try to stay strong as winter always turns to spring! The love that is coming in 2010 is going to be grand; after all we have these weeks to really ponder who and what we want.

Enjoy the holidays and the New Year, I don’t know about you but 2009 seemed to fly by. With the Chinese New Year (Tiger) coming up on Valentine’s Day I am going to have some fun things to write about – the New Year will be about bravery, rebellion, social connections and much freer than 2009 was.
