For months now I have received calls from worried, talented displaced workers, who are deeply concerned about either finding gainful employment or keeping themselves gainfully employed. The numbers of displaced workers continues to grow and good jobs appear to be scarce.

Many positions have been scaled and cut back to reduce costs. So, how are companies doing this? Many have gone to hiring telecommute workers. They can continue to do business globally, while drastically reducing their overhead costs. I have worked with many companies in the past on side projects and have been a work from home mom for some time now. There are many legitimate companies that are in desperate need of talented work from home workers. In tribute to this job crisis I have compiled a list of legitimate work from home websites that hire telecommute workers.

First rule of thumb…
Never pay someone to hire you! If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. Below are legitimate sites that hire telecommute workers. They pay you! You don’t pay them! Now, something I have not discussed: sites that have a monthly membership fee. There are a few out there that are only $6-$7 dollars a month. This is different. You are actually paying for up to date data base access to the newest posted jobs before others have access to them. You still find legitimate work. If you are on a VERY tight budget, I caution against this. You can just as easily find legitimate telecommute jobs for free. Just remember to do your research before you act upon something that seems fishy. I wish all of you well, and happy job hunting!
