About: From the age of six I would sit in our basement at my father's desk and write. Only instead of poems and stories, I would write who would be famous after hearing them sing (the Beattles), who would be in an accident, and basically, all my stories were about predictions! I wasn't much for the outside games (nobody picked me) so I spent a lot of time on solitary activities. While married and raising children, I spent most of my time keeping them safe and doing a lot of volunteer work. My main activity using my gift (while raising my children) was to help others with children who were lost, hurt or killed. I never really considered using my gift as a job until my children were grown, but I really enjoy my work and the opportunity to help so many people. My greatest joy at work is connecting clients with loved ones who have died. My greatest joy is connecting someone to a lost loved one. I want them to know that the person is their lost loved one, so I make sure to totally describe them. The deceased person identifies themselves by various methods, a five card hand of poker, twirling a basketball, standing next to a motorcycle or by identifying their favorite color of suit (royal blue).

There are so many precious and memorable events in connecting with loved ones, but I just want to mention a few…

• One of my clients has been having a regular conversation with her boyfriend that has passed away, who wasn’t holding back anything. I told her this was unusual, as they don’t usually give such detailed specifics and that she is very blessed. Her grief was so intense she took my advice and is journaling.
• A husband, who has passed from lung cancer, came back to talk with his wife. He told her that he always would love her, and then as I was waiting for him to say more, he started twirling a penny. All I could think of was the movie “Ghost” and I thought, no way. But I’ve learned to pass on what I see, so I told her. She said that they agreed before he passed that he would do that when he came back so she would know it was him! I almost hadn’t said anything, thinking it was my “imagination.”
• Another time, I saw this person “lounging” in the corner of this young woman’s mind. I asked her if she had lost a cousin, and she said yes, and did he have any message for the family. He told me, and I totally quote “tell them that love stuff, make up anything” — only instead of stuff he had used a more colorful word — and I told her just what he said. She laughed so hard she could barely talk. She said in life he wouldn’t even use his own words!
• A mother lost her only son, and was losing herself in her grief, until the son was able to make her laugh. It was so intense it felt as if they were in the same room.
• A new caller was on the phone, when I asked her if she had had a boyfriend years ago who had died in a motorcycle accident. She became very quiet and asked me what he looked like, and I described him as well as his motorcycle. Then she told me that she had just started a teaching position, and her student’s boyfriend had died the night before. He came to tell her (the woman’s student) that it wasn’t her fault.
• The other day I spoke with a woman who lost her mother when she was very young. When the mother came, she was extremely sad, because she had been trying for years to reach her daughter. She asked her if she remembered the green and pink puppet theatre (which the daughter told me she had made just before she died), and then went on to give the daughter one of the most heartfelt messages I have ever heard.

Twice I have been unable to reach loved ones, which is hard. One was a suicide, and they are very hard to reach. Another was a son, and it was disappointing not to reach him. It happens, not often, but sometimes they don’t wish to communicate, or I am unable to reach them.

Yesterday I had a most unusual experience. A young woman was talking with her father (deceased) when she asked about a former boyfriend. The father shook his head and pointed downward. I told her “maybe he didn’t make it” and she said, no way. She was sure that this person had made it. I told her I would check around her again, and I saw a man standing to the other side of her in shadow. I described him, and as I was telling her what he looked like he reached out and stroked her cheeks. I was watching, as if it was on a television show, and then I told her what I was seeing. She said she didn’t feel it, but could I see her? I said absolutely, it was as if I was looking through a clear glass, and I was able to describe her completely. She said that’s the way he was, always doing things in a different way.

My only regret is that I can’t reach my mother yet….although sometimes I hear her whisper.
