The Great Phone Reading Debate

The in-person psychic reading versus the phone reading debate has been ongoing since the dawning of 9-7-6 numbers.   For many psychic reading purists, a telephone reading is blasphemy!  For phone reading enthusiasts, there’s no other way.  The question of “How can a person possibly get a good psychic reading over the phone?” begs to be explored.  

 

So, I’m the girl who goes to the Jersey Shore and visits the palm reader to not only have my palm read, but my forehead, and once she even read my feet!   I’ve had in-person readings at psychic fairs, new age shows, even a local psychic reader who offers readings right in her living room –plastic covers on the floral couches and all!    All readings were interesting, and many spooky accurate!

 

Enter the phone reading, revolutionized in the 1990’s, made mainstream compliments of late night infomercials.    When I came onboard at Psychic Source back in 1994, I was amazed by the abilities of our telephone readers.  I couldn’t believe the accurate insights provided over the telephone by just giving him/her my first name, date of birth and a few questions.  How could it be?   Was it my voice?   Did they know my Mother?  The skeptical side of my mind went all over the place.   I just couldn’t understand it.   

 

So what was it?  It was driving me nuts.  I reviewed in my mind. It’s convenient. I can call whenever I want and in the privacy of my home – old t-shirt, sweatpants and my Winnie the Pooh slippers.   That was it…I was comfortable in my home and the same went for the reader.   I could be in my comfy chair, in my even comfier clothes, crazy ponytail hair, a pack of Pecan Sandies, a glass of wine, and getting my reading.  I felt at ease.  I’m anonymous. I can talk about anything I want without judgment and gain advice and powerful insights.  That was my “a-ha moment”! 

 

For me, it’s really about the connection, and how comfortable and open my subconscious is for the reader to “access” insights.  Powerful connections can be made over the telephone.  Heck, we see and hear about people falling in love over the internet and that’s just through email and instant messaging!  So why not powerful psychic readings by phone?   It’s possible…ask the thousands of people who get psychic readings by phone each and every day.

Telephone Readings???  I wouldn't have it any other way.   I can't see the Customer chewing gum, shaking their head, crossing and uncrossing their legs, interrupting me and most of all skimming my cards as I'm reading them -- even blocking the cards and my psyche by their head!!!!   I just relax, let all the vibes come whether in color, black and white, circles, squares, whatever and open my mouth.  The words and thoughts just flow and the Customer just listens because I figure he/she is in her own world or like most of my customers, feverishly trying to write down every word I say.    Works for ME!!!    Additional Note:  The Folks who give readings on Psychic Source are the best.  We all refer customers to each other.   To the best of my knowledge, I have found no jealousy, bickering, or any other negative aspect.   We are all truly "in the LIGHT".  This includes all the Business Staff as well that make all this possible for the Psychic - Customer connection!!!

Yay for phone readings!   I like knowing that i can call whenever I want - my life is crazy busy and 24/7 psychic reader accss is the best.

Phone readings are the best! I like knowing that I can pick up any phone, make a call and get a reading. I wouldn't have it any other way.

First, I must agree 100% with Stella - as we have an AWESOME team here at the Source! I have been part of the group for a little over a year, and as a clairaudient - I have heard wonderful raves from the callers about the reputable service, the staff, and all the talented readers. I've heard such a musical blend of compliments with positive reactions, where I  feel comfortable suggesting that the caller get a "second opinion" (if needed) from one of the other readers "just to be sure"...  that we are ALL "in tune".  J

As an Intuitive, I was personally skeptical when telephone readings were first introduced to us back in what, the 90's?,  but doing the readings by phone happened quite naturally. Comfort and chemistry only add to the whole experience. I personally love reading by phone better - as looks can be deceiving.. plus I have always trusted the sounds and vibrations of the energy source - rather than what was said to me.

I love reading over the phone. Carmella has made me feel comfortable and at ease. She never sounds like she is frustrated or bothered by the person calling. I have had many readings by phone and enjoy them that way. Sometimes when you are in someones faces they tend to be more abrasive with you.

I enjoy reading no matter what the format but I do find that phone readings are effective because as a reader, I am not so influenced by the physical body sitting in front of me.  It encourages you to go "higher" for information and the readings can be more in tune rather that influenced by outside factors.  I also find that with in-person readings, though the person to person is great,  often the client gets so caught up in "being seen" and how to behave, that they often aren't able to really listen and especially have a hard time "hearing" difficult guidance.  I always tape in person readings for that reason.  The only thing I really feel I can't get from phone readings is the shift in someone's eyes when they are blocking or being influenced by another energy. By phone you can sense it,  but in person you can really address it.

I like to do one to one, in person readings better.  Now that I am older and alone, the phone readings are safer for me, and I don't have to impress anyone with my latest outfit.  At first I was in a quandary about how I would proceed with phone readings.  Then I realized how much like being on the radio (for several years I did readings for people over the air waves) talking on the phone was.  A really good point about phone readings is that people from anywhere in the world can talk to me, and I in turn can help. I find that alone to be outstanding!  Anotherr reminder to clients, I am honest, if what I say about you future does not sit well with you there are two things you can do about it.  One accept it for it is a lesson you have to endure, or two prove me wrong and fix your life by making better decisions.  You are the only one who truly rules your own destiny.
