Unblock your chakras to improve your health and relationships.

Blocked chakras can impact more than just your physical health. They can also harm your relationships. There are ways to unblock your chakras to create greater harmony within yourself and your relationships. Let's take a look at different chakras, what happens when they are blocked, and tips for unblocking them.

Root Chakra and Anxiety

The root chakra deals with feelings of security and stability. If your root chakra is blocked or underactive, you may feel nervous, anxious, and scared; if it's overactive, you may find that you're resistant to change. These feelings can extend into your relationships. Since the root chakra deals with feeling grounded, you can do exercises to help strengthen your connection to the earth.

Exercise: Relax and stand straight with your feel shoulder-width apart, knees just slightly bent, and palms leaning forward. Keep your body balanced so that the weight on your feet is distributed evenly, and remain in this position for a few minutes. Psychic readings can offer another way to learn how to gain balance.

Sacral Chakra and Emotions, Sex

The sacral chakra deals with your emotions and sexuality. Someone with a balanced sacral chakra can express emotions freely without being overly emotional, and is able to be passionate and intimate. An imbalanced sacral chakra can lead to a person seeming cold or extremely attached to people.

Exercise: Place your hands on your lap, palms up, with your left hand underneath your right. Focus on the chakra, which is toward the lower back, and chant, "VAM." Repeat this several times.

Heart Chakra and Affection

The heart chakra influences your interactions, love, and friendliness with others. If this chakra is imbalanced, you may be either distant or suffocating with your affection. You may also want to talk to a love psychic to learn more about how to focus and stay balanced.

Exercise: Sit up straight on the floor with your legs crossed, place your left hand on your left knee, and then place your right hand in front of the lower part of your breastbone. Concentrate on the heart chakra located at the spine level with where your heart is and chant the mantra, "YAM." Repeat this for several minutes each day to slowly open the chakra.

Throat Chakra and Communication

The throat chakra directly affects your ability to communicate with others. People with a blocked throat chakra tend to be quiet, shy, and unsure of themselves.

Exercise: Your fingers should be crossed inside of your hands with your fingers facing the floor, your thumbs touching. Concentrate on the chakra which is located near the bottom of your throat and chant, "HAM." Repeat as you feel necessary.

Navel Chakra and Self Esteem

The navel chakra is related to self-esteem, assertiveness, and feeling in control of your decisions. Assertiveness should be something that comes easily, but if your navel chakra is blocked, the opposite is often the case.

Exercise: Put your hands on your stomach with your fingers joined at the tips. Concentrate on the chakra, located at your spine just above your navel, and chant, "RAM." Repeat slowly each day for several minutes for the best results.

Try these exercises to open your chakras and improve not only your own balance and well-being, but also your relationships.
