Learning how to move on after the loss of a beloved pet

Although losing a pet may seem like a minimal loss, many people consider their furry friends to be members of the family. Whether you recently lost a dog, cat or hamster, there's no shame in mourning the death of your pet.

The Humane Society reports that grief over a pet can last days or weeks, depending on the person. Once you come to the realization that your loved one is gone, you will move on with the grieving process.

During this tough time, you might want to look for emotional support through friends or family. Talking through your feelings will allow you to fully mourn before you begin to continue with your life without your pet.

Once you are strong enough to move forward, consider creating a memorial for your lost friend. In the end, you'll have a place you can visit when you want to reflect on your memories.

Speak to your psychic if you're interested in learning more about how to continue life without your pet. Psychic medium readings from an individual who specializes in pet readings may be able to put you in contact with your deceased animal, giving you peace of mind.

BLDION: I must "chide" you here. There is nothing 'minimal' about losing a blessed animal..our best confidants, our joy, our very lives! We consider our cats our family and best source of comfort. Our little Jenny was our 'cat-daughter' and my male cats will forever make me laugh. Tuxie is grieving the loss of his best companion and soul mate, "G" (Gizelle/Gus), a beautiful Norwegian Forest cat. We will always remember Grey, Mittens, Randy, Uno, Ziggy, Corky, Foxy, Scampie...the list goes on.
