4 Things Holding You Back from a More Peaceful Day

Peace can be achieved once and for all.

Peace. It seems like such a simple thing to ask for, but is far more difficult to achieve when responsibilities crowd our lives. There are several steps you can take to break through the hectic pace of today's world and reclaim the peace you deserve.

1. Cut the clutter
Much of our stress comes from not being able to find things, having no place to sit and relax, and other problems that spill out of our clutter. Clutter is a time waster and adds to our stress, but trying to tackle all the clutter at once would cause even more stress. Instead of spending exhausting hours cleaning, vow to clear one area of the home or office each day. When things are less cluttered, you won't feel the constant stress brought by those stacks of "stuff to worry about."

2. Eliminate hurt and anger
The unkind words someone said, the cold shoulder, the invitation that never came... all these are painful. But our key to peace is learning to let go of the pain and anger so we can get on with happy, productive lives. Often, the hurt was unintentional. But even if the person meant to hurt you, holding on to the pain means she wins. If you're having trouble letting go, talk to an authentic psychic or someone else you trust to guide you into forgiveness and healing.

3. Make time for yourself
Do you spend so much time looking after everyone else that there's no time left for yourself? This isn't healthy and robs you of your peace. Spend at least 15 minutes each day (half an hour would be better) doing something just for you. Take a walk, read a magazine, soak in the bathtub, or whatever else takes you to your happy place. When you make this commitment and keep it, you'll be refreshed and ready to resume your responsibilities in a more peaceful manner.

4. Stop worrying over things you can't change
Watching the news, listening to a friend complain about a problem she has no intention of solving, worrying about someone you know - all these things are out of our control. We often spend tremendous energy and rob ourselves of peace because we spend so much time fretting over things we can't do anything about. The path to peace is paved with the ability to let go. The best psychic will tell you to stop spending energy on these helpless issues and focus on what you can control in your life.
