The Full Moon in May wass the Flower Moon, also known as the Hare Moon or the Moon when Ponies Shed.  The first Full Moon after Beltane (may 1st). This is the Moon of new growth.  Looking around us we can see the promise of new growth.  This is the time when all of Nature comes alive.  The wild flowers are bursting into bloom with every color and shape imaginable.  The blossoms on the fruit trees are buzzing with insect activity and the grass is polka – dotted with dandelion flowers.  The days are getting longer and the energy of renewal and rejuvenation is in the air.  What a magical time it is. This is the Moon to focus on education, communication and expansion of our consciousness.  This is a great time to re-affirm the goals that we have set for ourselves. This is a time when even what may seem impossible is now possible. The Flower Moon is a wonderful time to cleanse and empower crystals and gemstones to use in meditation for growth.  Stones like Malachite, Aventurine, Jade and other green-hued stones are used to enhance growth energy.  Start by soaking your stone in a glass of spring water and sea salt.  Then Thursday when the Flower Moon is full, place your stone on a piece of clean, white, cotton cloth or a clean paper towel will work fine.  Place it outside where it will be in the moonlight, being careful to retrieve it and bring it inside before the first light of morning.  Your stone is now charged and ready to aid you in meditations and visualizations for new growth. Children can enjoy the Flower Moon too.  The day of the Flower Moon is great time for a family picnic under the warm waxing sun.  This is a wonderful time to take children on a walk to spot wild flowers.  You may want to have them leave a food offering to the nature spirits and fairiey, who are very active this time of year.  They like fun foods such as cookies, soda, wee pieces of cake and ginger ale. Place these gifts near wild flowers or at the base of an Oak Tree.  This is also a great time to have children hang and fill bird feeders to keep our flying friends around the yard and happy. As we enter the summer months of sun and fun, my prayer for you is love, health growth and abundance.      Wishing you all the Blessings of the Earth Mother, Joseph
