Preparing to ask your boss for a raise

If you've been working especially hard as of late at your company, you might be inclined to ask for a raise - but when is the right time to do so? Have you really earned the extra cash?

There are a few things you'll want to consider prior to having the big meeting with your boss. First, FOX News recommends doing your research. Look up average salaries for other people in similar positions to determine what to ask for when you head into negotiations.

Next, make sure you have a list of accomplishments that you can show to your boss. The Wall Street Journal states that it's important that they're tangible - cite specific projects or any overtime work that you have done as of late to better the company.

Finally, remember to be open to negotiation. If your boss offers you a raise smaller than you expected, see if it's something you can discuss and adjust.

If you're still feeling nervous about asking for a raise, speak to your trusted psychic. Psychic phone readings can give you the guidance and confidence you need to go into your meeting and get the raise you deserve.
