General Horoscope for week of May 5th
The week of Cinco de Mayo begins with the New Moon in Taurus exact at 8:18am Monday morning. New Moons hold the promise of new beginnings and when the New Moon is in luxury loving Taurus we can enjoy life more and commit to new goals. We seek the truth and embrace stability when the Moon is new in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. The energy of the Taurus New Moon steadies us through the week. Now is a perfect time to slow down and enjoy the simple beauties of life.
The morning of Friday, May 9th, at 8:11am, expansive Jupiter turns retrograde, providing an opportunity to review our gains. Jupiter, the great benefactor, represents the expansion, belief, optimism and success in our lives. When Jupiter turns retrograde, all of that wonderful energy is focused inward. This is an opportunity to review our philosophies, beliefs and actions. We can make internal transformations during the retrograde period and be better prepared to move forward with enthusiasm when the big planet stations direct on August 7th.
Mars enters Leo on Friday afternoon at 4:20pm; a welcome relief of warmth after a long absence (June 2006). The action planet has been traveling through the sensitive waters of Cancer since September 28, 2007, challenging our collective approaches to growth and cooling passions, especially during the four month Mars in Cancer Retrograde.
